Did You Know...

... that SDC Rhythm XP placed 3rd in Dubai for the second time?

Almost 20-average: Qatar Tigers
posted Dec 6th, 2013 - Today's goal was easily achieved at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013, and all four Formation Skydiving events have their winners after eight (VFS) and ten rounds.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa recovered well with the 30-pointer in Round 10 and brought a 25.1 average over the finish line. It's short of Gary Smith's 26.0 average goal, but it is still a satisfying result for the technically challenging 10-round draw. Last year's competition draw for the Mondial Dubai 2012 was significantly faster and easier.

The most impressive 4way performances were presented by other teams this time. The Qatar Tigers almost posted a 20-point average, and the Aerodyne French Girls were just a single point short of a 21-point average. Both teams scored higher compared to the Mondial 2012, which gives it a very high value.

Successful reunion: $10,000 for Polaris
The Aerodyne French Girls eventually tied SDC Rhythm XP after winning Round 10 by a point and a good 10-round battle across the two different leaderboards. Both teams completed the same number of formations within working time in Round 10, and Rhythm had two point deductions, one more than the French Girls.

Polaris from Norway had a great meet, as well, and would have made it to the finals in the 4way Open Class competition, together with the Dubai Asaar Ladies, who would have pushed Gamma Ray from Germany from the last slot in the finals. The fourth team of the female 4way competition, Fuzion from Canada, was close to the Open Class finals, as well.

SDC Rhythm XP took some extra time after the meet to discuss their visit at the 4th DIPC 2013 with the Sun Path Products NSL News. It was the second trip to Dubai for JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz. They had Rob Radez and Thiago Gomes in their 2011 lineup. SDC Rhythm XP won $8,000 cash for the 3rd place in the 4way Open Class this year.
