Did You Know...

... that VAF Warriors will compete for Denmark next year?

Bodyflight Voluntas at the Mondial Dubai 2012
posted Oct 30th, 2013 - Bodyflight Voluntas has been Denmark's national 4way team for several years and also represented the Scandinavian country at the Mondial Dubai 2012. The 2012 season was the 4th Voluntas year, including the world meets in Menzelinsk 2010 and Dubai 2012. The Voluntas era has now come to an end, and a new team will compete for Denmark at the World Meet 2014 in Prostejov.

Denmark's selection committee came together in September to decide who will be the new members of the national project team. There were 19 applicants for 10 slots in two teams, the national team and the "farm team". Last year's committee member Kjetil Nordin reported that the weekend began with physical testing on Saturday morning and continued with interviews.

The committee eventually selected the VAF Warriors as the new national 4way team who will represent Denmark at the World Meet 2014 in Prostejov. Team members are Anne Mine Moeller Petersen, John Behrendt Petersen, Martin Soeby Mikkelsen, Henning Skov and Anders Krabbenhoft.

New Danish national 4way team: VAF Warriors
The Sun Path Products NSL News introduced the VAF Warriors with the story on 8 March 2013. The new team then competed for the first time at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013 and followed up with three more outdoor meets this year. The VAF Warriors also competed at the World Challenge 2013.

The team was showing commitment and progression and finished 2nd at the national championships behind a Voluntas lineup for a reunion. It is no surprise that the selection committee honored the efforts of the VAF Warriors with the status as the new national 4way team.

The VAF Warriors will continue with exactly the same lineup as in 2013 and are now making their plans for next year.

National B-Team: Aerodyne Steam
Aerodyne Steam was selected as the national "B-Team". Members are Mia Bjerre-Jepsen, Peter Strade, Hans Oksen, Stefan Rosenberg and Mette Hogaard Kristensen. The Steam lineup is also completely unchanged for the 2014 season.

The new national B-Team outlasted Airplay in a dramatic 10-round battle at the national championships this year. The Voluntas members at this year's successful reunion lineup took the 1st place but were no candidates for the selection of the new national team.

The same three teams also finished in the same order at the recent Danish Indoor Championships, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up later with scores and more information.
