Did You Know...

... that a new team from Denmark follows a popular travel agenda?

Martin Soeby Mikkelsen with Bodyflight Voluntas at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012
posted Mar 8th, 2013 - The field for the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013 now consists of teams from nine different nations. The VAF Warriors from Denmark are the latest addition to the international part of the competition.

VAF Warriors consist of Martin Soeby Mikkelsen (Center Outside), John Behrendt Petersen (Center Inside), Mine Petersen (Tail), Henning Skov (Point) and Anders "Krabbe" Krabbenhoft on camera. Henning Skov is not available for the outdoor competition in DeLand, and coach Solly Williams will most likely fill the Point slot.

The complete lineup will then also compete at the World Challenge 2013, and team videographer Anders Krabbenhoft can take a break at that time.

Martin Soeby Mikkelsen explained that the VAF Warriors wanted to put together a local team at the end of the 2012 season. He came back from the Mondial Dubai 2012, where he competed with Bodyflight Voluntas for Denmark, and decided to leave the Danish 4way project, together with former Veyron members Mine Petersen and John Behrendt Petersen.

They recruited two other locals (Henning Skov and Anders Krabbenhoft) to complete the lineup and now had a team consisting of five members of the Varde Faldskærmsklub (VAF), Denmark's largest skydiving club.

The VAF Warriors have met each other in several other Danish lineups before. Mine Petersen and John Behrendt Petersen trained and competed with Veyron last year. Mine Petersen was also in the Factum lineup of 2011, where she met Henning Skov and Anders Krabbenhoft.

Martin Soeby Mikkelsen and Henning Skov with Vision in 2010
Martin Soeby Mikkelsen and Henning Skov started together with Bodyflight Vision in 2010, and Anders Krabbenhoft was filming Martin Soeby Mikkelsen's team Fast Lane already in 2009.

The VAF Warriors obviously all knew each other well before they decided to form the new lineup and make plans for the 2013 season. Martin Soeby Mikkelsen said that it is still a light schedule for this year. However, the 2013 season begins with the same travel agenda that his previous team, Denmark's national 4way team Bodyflight Voluntas, followed a year ago: DeLand - Bedford.

Then they will follow up on home turf and attend the meets in Denmark. Team goal is a set of medals at the DFU Open and the Danish Nationals 2013.
