Did You Know...

... that Creeps took back the 2nd place in Round 7?

Heavy damage: AAA Class leader Thunder
posted Jun 16th, 2013 - The second update from the Tomscat Trophy came after the teams in the Netherlands added the scores for two more rounds in the AAA and AA Class and one more round in the A and Rookie Class to the leaderboard. Meet organizer Mike Pennock provided a summary from the Dutch perspective:

"The 19th edition of the Tomscat Trophy started after a 2-hour delay. We had a few short weather hold but managed to jump five rounds and we finished jumping at 8:20 pm.

"In the first round a lot af teams in the AAA Class where not that focused which resulted in a more than average number of busts. Even the top teams like Thunder and Whooops had their share of misfortune with four busts for Thunder and even worse, five busts for Whooops.

Strong comeback: Angry Birds
"During the day, Whooops managed to get back into the 2nd place, passing Creeps by only 1 point after Round 5. Cool Runnings, who trained in Deland and participated in the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013, are making an impression because they switched from the AA to the AAA Class and are still managing to score above their average of last year's AA Class.

"In the AA Class the 3rd and 4th round gave all four teams exactly the same scores (four 9-pointers and four 7-pointers), So everything is still open for the medals.

"In the A Class, the Angry Birds with Marloes Swarthoff (former Pulse member) had a bad start with a 3-pointer and the 7th and last place. After Round 6 they hahad completed an impressive comeback, climbing up to the 3rd place and only trailing by two points for the 2nd place.

Impressive in the Rookie Class: Novastar
"In the Rookie Class, Novastar is impressing everybody to score above 10-average as a novice team. They might win the stimulation price this year. For the third year, the stimulation price is sponsored by Indoor Skydive Roosendaal. This price is awarded to the team that has made the most out of a small budget and stands out in enthusiasm and commitment to become better. The prize is being awarded by all the coaches and team members of Thunder.

The last update came on Saturday evening after high winds had stopped the meet after the completition of seven rounds. Mike Pennock added that Whooops had a bad Round 7 with two costly point deductions. Creeps used the opportunity to take back the 2nd place in the AAA Class.

Mike Pennock said that it was time for the grill party and that the teams will try to complete the 10-round meet on Sunday.
