Did You Know...

... that Brazil's Ladies First followed Anima's 2012 pattern?

Ladies First after Round 9 and $400 cash...
posted Mar 31st, 2013 - It was no surprise that Canada's national 4way team Evolution won the $400 cash for Round 8 after handicap at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013.

Evolution's 20-pointer was also the sole highscore for the third round of the annual Shamrock Showdown Skins Game before handicap, which shows that it would be very difficult for all other teams to keep up for this $400 skin. Evolution won this round easily after handicap (21.49 - 20.67) with a.team4way in 2nd place.

Round 9 also had a clear winner of the next $400. However, this time the team came from the very bottom of the leaderboard.

Ladies First from Brazil posted the team's first 2-digit score in Round 9 and won the round far ahead (27.48 - 24.96) of Thunder in 2nd place. The 11-pointer was the second highest score for the Brazilian female 4way competitors who joined forces last year.

Ladies First posted one 12- and one 11-pointer in Brazil 2012 before Round 9 in DeLand.

Original lineup with coach Niklas Hemlin and videographer Bill Schmitz
Ladies First had a little bit more support than usual by their coach Niklas Hemlin in the second half of the meet. He had to fill the Tail slot on Saturday when Deborah Schroder was not able to continue.

It became a very busy day for the reigning 4way world champion and former Arizona Airspeed member. He was also coaching the other team from Brazil, Anima, and was filling in for Center Outside Pedro Ushizima who had lo leave after the training camp in Arizona.

Niklas Hemlin knew that he would compete with Anima, but he did not expect to fill a slot for Ladies First. Another former Airspeed member also helped Ladies First to win the money in Round 9.

Bill Schmitz was filming his own world champion team at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship and won the $3,000 for the 1st place in the AAA Class competition. Then he helped collecting another $400 cash with Ladies First after handicap in Round 9.

Busy day for Niklas Hemlin: Anima lineup
Anima had also attended the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship last year together with Brazil's national team CTR Optimum.

Anima lauched the 2012 season with a 9.5 average in DeLand and followed up with a 10.8 average at the national championships. This year's 11.4 average with the slow competition draw is a promising start into the 2013 season.

Anima finished at the bottom of the 2012 Paraclete leaderboard after winning $400 cash in one of the Skins Game rounds. Ladies First copied Anima's 2012 situation exactly at this year's event. If the Ladies continue the same way it means a great performance next year but no money...

Dubai Asaar Yellow saved the team's best for last and won the $400 for Round 10 with the 12-pointer and 23.64 money points after handicap.

No other team came even close. Cool Runnings was 2nd in Round 10 with 19.65 points after handicap.
