Did You Know...

... that Florida posted a new Indoor Cloud highscore at iFLY Orlando?

Rookie AAA Class lineup at iFLY Orlando this week
posted Mar 30th, 2013 - The Florida Skydiving League group for the March competition of the Indoor Cloud League posted a new total highscore this week with 133 points for the six sequences at iFLY Orlando.

The highest total was 128 points so far, which was also scored by the Florida group in December 2012 and gave the FSL competitors the edge (3 - 2) for the 2012 season over the Northwest Skydiving League at iFLY Seattle.

The 2013 season of the Indoor Cloud League began with a 1-point race in January (94 - 93) to the advantage of Florida, and the Northwest fought back successfully (118 - 109) in February. The NSL News then reported on 24 March 2013 that former Tminus01 member Brian Touhey, USPA Intermediate Class gold medalist of 2011, was joining Florida and the Northwest with a group from New England at SkyVenture New Hampshire, and the first March scores were posted a week ago.

AA Class lineup with Brian Johnson and Ari Perelman
The Northwest Skydiving League has one more week to post their scores for March. All three groups agreed with an extension this month and have the option to replace the current videos and scores with new ones until the extended deadline. The indoor competition usually ends on the last day of each month.

James Hall, Martin McKerrell, Joel Kmetz, Sebastian Jimenez, Keith Murray, Jon Agar, Matt Hillson, Frederic Bonneville, Craig Sagalow, Emily Zastrow, Yvonne Saa, Jim Prochaska, Hal Spence, Drew Zastrow, Rob Wistrom, Steve Hubbard, Randall Cutlip, Noelle Mason, Robert Harris and Gregory Stacey competed for Florida in March. Ari Perelman, Brian Johnson and Gilles Dutrisac were the player coaches for all lineups.

The Florida group included once again a few new flyers, while most of the other competitors have been posting scores for Florida at the previous events. The two featured videos are the sequences for the AAA Class and the AA Class in March.

Brian Johnson with XL lineup of 2007 and next week
Ari Perelman is the FSL head coach for the Indoor Cloud League, and the FSL group is fortunate enough to have another world class competitor coaching and flying with the participants. Brian Johnson lives in Orlando and is a former member of Arizona Airspeed. He has also joined the famous British XL lineup year by year at several indoor competitions.

Ari Perelman and Brian Johnson were both in the lineup for the AAA Class and the AA Class sequences. Gilles Dutrisac and Yvonne Saa completed the AAA Class lineup, while Emily Zastrow, a new talented competitor from Skydive City, was performing the AA Class sequence for Gilles Dutrisac. Yvonne Saa has been exclusively an indoor performer for Florida ever since the project was launched.

Brian Johnson is now moving on to an even faster pace. XL is registered once again for the World Challenge 2013. Pete Allum, Steve Hamilton and John McIver are his team mates in Bedford this year. The NSL News will provide live coverage next week.
