Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features Round 1 in 4way Open?

Sky Panthers Barkli in 4way Open
posted Nov 30th, 2012 - The weather looks much better at noon, and some of the events at the Mondial 2012 are back in action. However, the 4way teams have been released for the day, while the 8way teams are on stand-by.

The NSL News quickly follows up on the previous NSL Reality TV clips with the first meet videos of the event, courtesy of InTime and IPC. Round 1 in the 4way Open Class competition is first and features the four teams on the top of the leaderboard.

Sky Panthers Barkli are the defending bronze medalists of 2010 and deserve the honor to be featured together with the three top teams. The Russian 4way team doesn't really have a chance to defend the bronze medals successfully after very little 4way training. Barkli focused mostly on 8way competition this year where they are also the defending bronze medalists of 2010.

Recent poll results as close as the freefall battle
Round 1 was the opening of a 3-team battle for the gold medals that has been expected for months. The first round of the meet showed right away how close Arizona Airspeed, Aerodyne Aerokart and NMP-PCH Hayabusa are to each other and how this race has turned into a 3-team competition.

Only Aerodyne Aerokart and Arizona Airspeed battled for gold medals in 2010, and Hayabusa has finally cut the distance to nothing with new Point Dennis Praet. However, Airspeed took control in Round 1 with a clean round and continued the same way in Round 2, while the first scramble of the top spots happened between France and Hayabusa. It was probably not the last time that the same three teams will switch back and forth. The NSL News will hopefully follow up soon with the videos of Round 2 and more footage.
