... that Erwan Pouliquen missed the 8way competition draw?

Mondial 2012 in full swing in all events
posted Nov 29th, 2012 - The meet management has called the 4way teams for Round 2, while almost all Round 1 scores for all FS events are now posted.

The races are as close in all four categories as it was expected. Golden Knights and Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders are separated by one point, while Illusions seem to be in for a bronze medal race with Polaris. The French 8way team Aerodyne Maubeuge surprised the Golden Knights and the NSL News audience with the sole highscore in Round 1. Sky Panthers Barkli own the 3rd place, while Germany and Switzerland launched their battle for the 4th place.

Dubai Nexus lived up to the expectations after challenging the VFS 4way top teams from France and USA with high meet averages in the runup to the event. Can the host of the Mondial 2012 really win a gold medal? The VFS 4way teams have only an 8-round meet due to the smaller dive pool.

Monaco's 4way team Rebootizer Aerial in Dubai
Monaco is another nation with the first attendance at a World Meet. Rebootizer Aerial, with former French 8way top competitors of the 80's and 90's in their lineup, competes for the smallest country in Southern Europe. It's the 6th meet for the team this year. Marcel Aeby of the Swiss 8way team VIVA knows the former French 8way experts well. He is a former 4way world champion of 1983 with Blue Magic and the longest standing competitor in the field.

French 8way coach Erwan Pouliquen missed the competition draw last evening. He was kite surfing, as Veloce reporter Martial Ferre told the NSL News, and expected the draw as earlier announced on Thursday morning. Martial Ferre added that the 8way coach is a world class kite surfer too. The team could handle it without him, as the scores for Round 1 are showing. The French 8way lineup consists of nine 8way world champions, plus a multiple 8way world champion coaching...
