Did You Know...
... that the Star was only for the AAA Class teams in April?

The new round of NSL-TV
goes back to the April 16 meet weekend when the Southwest and the Florida Skydiving Leagues teams competed in Eloy and Lake Wales. The first part covers round four of the SSL meet, and the meet videos of the FSL teams will follow very soon.
It was the weekend with the fastest competition draw of the 2005 season. Airspeed Odyssey (22.8), Airspeed Velocity (20.8) and Norway Arcteryx (20.7) all passed the 20.0 average benchmark. Round five had three random formations and one block on the agenda for the AAA Class teams (G-E-14-M), including the good old Star (M).
The sequence for this round was in favor of the AAA Class teams. The AA Class sequence was concluded with Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole), while the AAA Class teams did not only have the most convenient Star as the last formation of the sequence. It was also an easier AAA Class move from the Star to the Cataccord (G), compared to the AA Class transition from the second Bipole to the Cataccord. In addition, the shorter AA Class sequence brought the AA Class teams back to the longer block earlier than the AAA Class teams.
The A Class sequence had only the same random formations at the beginning of the sequence. Block 14 was replaced by Block 4 (Monopod - Monopod). The A Class sequence was also too short to bring the Star into the game.
The AAA and AA Class teams show a great number of 540 degree turns in place. Airspeed Odyssey and Velocity both went through the sequence six times, including the time past 35 seconds. Velocity won the round with 26 points on the scoreboard after an almost flawless performance.

Odyssey completed 23 points in time but lost one point due to an incomplete first Bipole for a score of 22 points on the scoreboard. The Airspeed members did the right thing and moved on without any hesitation when the incident happened. Enjoy the show, the FSL videos will be added next.
