Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV now features the complete Round 1 of the last SCSL meet?

AA Class contender Kaleidoscope
posted Sep 23rd, 2008 - The NSL News goes back to the previous meet weekend on September 13. The Southern California Skydiving League held the last meet of the 2008 season in Perris and welcomed a few teams from Northern California this time.

R4 and Kaleidoscope both attended their first meet this year and competed in the AA Class. Kaleidoscope, with Collin Bruce, Jim Dawson, Karl Secks and Matt Stephens, had a similar schedule in 2007. The CA team competed at the August meet of the Southern California Skydiving League before traveling to Illinois and the USPA Nationals 2007 in September.

AA Class contender R4
This year, Kaleidoscope used the September meet in California to prepare for the USPA National 2008 in October.

However, the scores have changed in 2008. Kaleidoscope still competes in the AA/Intermediate Class where the team posted a 9.3 average in August last year and a 10.4 average at the USPA Nationals.

The 11.0 average at the SCSL September meet indicates that Kaleidoscope might even have a higher placement in sight at the USPA Nationals 2008, compared to the 7th place in the 27-team field last year.

Southern California Skydiving League 2008 Meet 4 at Perris Valley Skydiving
The winning team in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2007, Cross Keys Air Pollution, scored a 12.6 average after eleven rounds in Ottawa. The best AA Class team at the SCSL September meet, R4, finished with a 12.2 average and will probably be in contention for a medal position in October.

AA Class contender FSC Wind Damaged
The same counts for the Florida Skydiving League team FSC Wind Damaged who competed a week later than the SCSL teams and posted a 12.0 average last weekend.

The SCSL and FSL teams will compete directly with each other in four weeks.

NSL-TV received new meet videos from California, thanks to Perris Fury, and the audience has now the opportunity to see the teams from Northern and Southern California in action.

The remaining meet videos of Perris Fury were also in the package for NSL-TV. The NSL News uploaded the first two Fury videos already for the story on 17 September 2008.

The first two videos featured the two fastest rounds of the competition. This time, NSL-TV goes back to the start of the meet and features the complete Round 1. Perris Fury's 20-pointer for a technically challenging sequence (1-B-8) shows a flawless performance and confirms that the world class team seems to be back in contention for AAA/Open Class medals at the USPA Nationals 2008. Enjoy the new show.
