posted Apr 18th, 2013 - The judging videos of Evolution at the World Challenge 2013 were the last ones missing of the Top 5 teams. They are now coming along with a great video clip that professional photographer Vania Da Rui put together after the event.

The NSL-TV camera captured the top teams live during the competition from a different angle to provide footage as quickly as possible, and the eye level also shows much more of the actual flying performance.

Vania Da Rui was filming from an even better angle, as she set up right at the entry door and recorded without the glass wall in the way. She also used professional equipment, and the quality of the video shows the difference. The up close flying impressions provide a very different idea of the tunnel action, compared to the judging videos.

Vania Da Rui is featuring the Top 5 teams of the AAA Class leaderboard with this clip, and NSL-TV has added the judging videos of Canada's national team Evolution with all ten rounds.

The new Evolution lineup with the three Lemay brothers (Martin, Vincent, Benoit) and Katie Woods is one of the few teams who have attended three meets this year and is also the only top contender in the world who has completed four meets with the complete lineup, including the indoor competition at iFLY Singapore in December 2012.

Arizona Airspeed competed only at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013 with the current lineup, and the new French lineup has not attended any competition so far. Barkli from Russia competed in DeLand, as well, and the World Challenge 2013 was the first meet for NMP-PCH Hayabusa this year. However, the Belgian team has all the meets in 2011 and 2012 in the bag of competition experience with the same lineup.

The Canadian team is looking for the confrontation with the best teams in the world. Goal is to win gold medals in 2014, and the new lineup needs as much competition experience as possible.

It is also very important for the top teams to check out the most current judging standards, which is only possible at real live competitions with the judges who may push the buttons at the next World Championship of Formation Skydiving next year, or who at least know the current guidelines and requirements. It is not enough to complete a high number of points within working time, as the Canadians know very well after giving away many of them at the meets so far.

Evolution lost significantly more points than Airspeed and Barkli at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship and had the biggest damage of the Top 5 in Bedford, as well. By the time of the big showdown next year the top contenders have to be in synch with the judging panel to win medals. Evolution is on the right way, as the point deductions in Bedford (9) added up to a much smaller total than in DeLand (20).
