News Article Did you know that Netunos keep moving closer to INIT-Y in Brazil?
posted: Aug 4th, 2022 Brazil's outdoor championships generated new record participation with a total of 17 teams, with eleven of them in the AAA Class competition. There was no surprise on the top of the leaderboard where INIT-Y defended their national championship title successfully without too much trouble. George Narita in the Tail slot has won the 4-way title annually since 2018, together with Alisson Vargas and Jorge Neto since 2020. The current lineup, with 4th member Ricardo Pereira, won in 2021 and now again. No other 4-way team in Brazil than CTR Optimum/INIT-Y has yet reached the same 16+ level that different... (more)
News Article Did you know that XPG4 and Anion Flux XP have their official Pre-Nationals scores?
posted: Aug 3rd, 2022 The combined leaderboard of the Pre-Nationals 2022 begins shaping up. The scores of XPG4 and Anion Flux XP have been added, after professional evaluation by InTime, even though the videos do not include the usual features. However, at least the number of point deductions are assigned to the according rounds and help to get a better impression of the posted scores. It becomes more and more clear that the audience can expect an exciting competition between XPG4 and Skydive Midwest NEXT at the USPA Nationals next month. Both teams were close to each other last year at the national outdoor championships... (more)
News Article Did you know that Air Raid XP and Anion Flux XP are waiting for their Pre-Nationals scores?
posted: Aug 3rd, 2022 The completion of the combined leaderboard of the Pre-Nationals 2022 part at Skydive Spaceland and the one on the NSL Cloud takes longer than expected, as InTime's FAI judges and operators are taking care of additional events in other countries, as well. There were also weather delays at some of the different additional locations, where the listed teams were performing the same sequences, and it will take more time until the videos will be available, judged and posted. XPG4, Anion Flux XP and Air Raid XP have been on the empty leaderboard for a while, even though their competition videos... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skydive Midwest NEXT members are back with Indoor Cloud League scores and videos?
posted: Aug 2nd, 2022 The NSL Calendar of Events has been a quite accurate tool to measure the impact of the corona virus crisis on Formation Skydiving competition. The last year before the worldwide health crisis was 2019, and a total of 140 indoor and outdoor events generated many more leaderboard and hundreds of NSL News updates. The number of events in the NSL records was down to 52 in 2020 when the regulations how to run events were new, unclear and not greatly coordinated. Cancellations were the most common way how to deal with the situation. The handling of event logistics were better defined in 2021. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Top 10 positions are a serious goal for AA/Intermediate Class teams?
posted: Aug 1st, 2022 The NSL News introduced a few USPA medal contenders from Texas on July 28th. Spaceland Toxic and both A/Beginners Class teams (Toxic Ex Girlfriends, Toxic Turtles) seem to be on the way to play a role in the battle for medals at the national championships in September. The other two AA/Intermediate Class teams who competed at the live part of the Pre-Nationals 2022 in Texas, 49 1/2 Finger Death Punch and Plug N Play, could not keep up with the well trained Spaceland Toxic lineup. However, they had their own competition with each other, and with two more teams who were planning to post their... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new XPG4 videos feature reigning 8-way world champions and a AA Class competitor of 2021?
posted: Jul 29th, 2022 The eleven rounds of Skydive Midwest NEXT were a part of the first half of the Pre-Nationals 2022, and the second half begins with the videos that XPG4 submitted to the NSL Cloud. The scores are not available yet, as InTime has scheduled the judging for the time after the completion of the whole event. However, the videos have been uploaded, and the home judges can already begin with their own evaluation. The first two sets of AAA Class videos feature two of the U.S. top teams who are aiming at USPA medals in 4-way Open this year. Arizona Airspeed are probably out of reach for any other U.S.... (more)
