Did you know that Arizona Airspeed plan to break up everything when they come back for the next team training? posted: Oct 28th, 2022 The expected battle for silver medals in 4-way Open between Belgium, Qatar and France at the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 was reduced more to a duel relatively early.
NMP PCH HayaBusa, the defending 4-way world champions, came well prepared to Eloy with their new Inside Center Neal Willems and David Grauwels on camera.
HayaBusa were six points ahead of France after Round 8, and they mastered the last two rounds with the fast sequences well enough to maintain the 2nd place by nine points over the Qatar Tigers. The Belgians did not even look up much, as they knew before the meet began that Arizona... (more)
Did you know that Gary Smith, Joey Jones and Solly Williams predicted the 2-round drama in 4-way Open? posted: Oct 26th, 2022 Arizona Airspeed dominated the 4-way Open Class competition just as much as Paraclete XP8 did in 8-way. Neither the Airspeed gold medals nor the 1st place for XP8 was a surprise, not even the winning margin. In fact, the results at the FAI Outdoor World Meet 2022 were more or less just a copy of the top of the leaderboard at the USPA Nationals 2022, where NMP PCH HayaBusa performed the same competition draw at the Belgian outdoor championships.
NMP PCH HayaBusa and Qatar Tigers now followed up with their next ten rounds, and the ranking order of the same three teams was the same. Even the distance... (more)
Did you know that Eliana Rodriguez and Tim D'Annunzio were the XP8 alternates? posted: Oct 26th, 2022 The 8-way competition was concluded first, while Gary Smith, Joey Jones and Solly Williams discussed the last two rounds of the 4-way competition. The 8-way competition was the easiest event to overview, as all five participating teams did not get too close to each other.
The closest distance between two 8-way teams next to each other on this leaderboard was the 12-point difference between MicroClim8 (Great Britain) and Mojo Annecy-Clermont (France). Paraclete XP8 did not give away a round and did not allow the Qatar Falcons to get closer than one point once in Round 4.
The 2nd place for... (more)
Did you know that the Majik Coaches Corner experts expected changes in the last two rounds? posted: Oct 25th, 2022 The same three 4-way experts came back together for a new Majik Coaches Corner on Tuesday, even though Solly Williams joined the conversation a little bit delayed. Did you know that Andy Grauwels may win his next FAI gold medal as a coach? posted: Oct 24th, 2022 NFTO fell out of the 2-team lead of totally clean scoresheets on the cold and windy Monday morning at the FAI Outdoor World Meet in Eloy. It was the sequence of Round 6 that ended the streak of five consecutive rounds without any penalties. The 2-point deduction also allowed XPG4 to claim the first sole highscore.
Germany's national team in 4-way Women, Meltemi Oceanside, lasted two more rounds and finally suffered two point deductions in Round 8. There is no team left in Formation Skydiving competition that has not lost any points in the judging room.
It was in 4-way Open at the FAI Tanay... (more)
