Did you know that Arizona Divewerkz keeps moving up? posted: May 5th, 2005 The NSL News mentioned plans yesterday to introduce a team of the Southwest Skydiving League, Arizona Divewerkz. The team's 2005 line-up has already attended two of the three SSL meets and consists of Murel Addison (Outside Center), Blane Boynton (Point), Paul Gatling (Tail), Annaliese Peterson (Inside Center) and Kelly Green on video.
Arizona Divewerkz calls Skydive Arizona its home and got its start in January of 2003. Murel Addison, a visiting skydiver, and Blane Boynton, a local jumper, met on an organized six-way skydive. During this introduction, they were both pleased to meet another... (more)
Did you know that the first round of the SSL April meet is now on NSL-TV? posted: May 4th, 2005 The NSL-TV has now begun to upload the first video files of the April meet of the Southwest Skydiving League. It was the third SSL competition in 2005, and it was hosted once again by Skydive Arizona in Eloy. It was also the second time this year that both Airspeed line-ups competed on their home turf. Did you know that the new DeLand Majik line-up scored the highscore in round six? posted: May 4th, 2005 Round six of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 continued with the same pattern of the previous rounds. The top teams were still waiting for DeLand Fire to slip for the first time, and it did not happen. Golden Knights team captain John Hoover acknowledged this situation after the meet: "Some people expected them to stumble on at least one of the jumps, but they kept fighting and posting the good scores." Did you know that Spa Hayabusa recently delivered 43 points in 35 seconds? posted: May 1st, 2005 The NSL News recently received a news flash from Belgium. The Belgian national team, Spa Hayabusa, posted a video on the team website, which shows a recent training jump. The e-news update mentions that the training jump was done last weekend: "Because of all the requests about the training jump last weekend, here is the site where you can watch the video from Spa Hayabusa making 43 points in 35 seconds during a training jump in Spa." Did you know that the NSL Shop now offers the new Golden Knights 2005 DVD? posted: May 1st, 2005 The Golden Knights' 4-way team has once again put together an overview of the team's current continuity plan. The Army headquarters had already provided the NSL audience with a similar service two years ago. The Golden Knights 2003 came on a VHS, while the 2005 presentation is a professionally produced DVD.
It was a free promotional service in 2003, and the Army offers the new DVD once again without charges for profit. This allows the NSL to deliver the DVD only for shipping and handling fees as long as copies are available. The NSL will also give away the Golden Knights 2005 DVD for free with... (more)
Did you know that the NSL and Bill Booth presented skydiving at the Career Day? posted: Apr 28th, 2005 The National Skydiving League headquarters in DeLand, Florida, makes efforts to be in touch with the local non-skydiving community on a regular basis. Press releases are being sent out to the local media announcing the events of the Florida Skydiving League to the public. Special events, such as DeLand Majik winning the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in 2004, usually earn additional attention and coverage.
