News Article Did you know that no German 4-way Women team will travel to Russia?
posted: May 26th, 2021 The complete German Formation Skydiving delegation for FAI/ISC events in the traditional events (4-way Open, 4-way Women, 8-way Open) seemed to be in jeopardy when Oceanside AtomiX recently announced that the reigning 4-way Open Class champions will not represent Germany at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 this August. However, the German skydiving federation (DFV) and national coach Robert Trögele reacted quickly and asked the runner-up of the last national championships in 2019, Airbus Illertissen, if they were ready for traveling to Russia as the substitute team in 4-way Open. The Airbus 4-way... (more)
News Article Did you know that British national 4-way team Chimera is back in training action?
posted: Apr 8th, 2021 It is not easy to comprehend that the last international FAI event in Formation Skydiving competition was the FAI Outdoor World Cup in October 2019. A year and a half have gone by, and it will be almost two years before the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 is scheduled to bring the national teams of each country back together at the same place and the same time in August. The same event was also the last outdoor competition for the British national teams in 4-way Open (Chimera) and 4-way Women (NFTO). The British 8-way team Groomed competed at Skydive Arizona, as well. None of the British competitors... (more)
News Article Did you know that Rhythm 8 members ended up in the closest Shamrock 4-way battle?
posted: Mar 29th, 2021 The small field of teams at the live part of the Shamrock Showdown 2021 at Skydive City generated more than enough exciting competition and interesting information. There was actually no area on the 4-way AAA Class leaderboard that did not have rounds and duels to follow carefully. Arizona Airspeed did not have any opposition on the top of the leaderboard, and the U.S. indoor champions competed mostly against the competition draw. However, that alone was challenging enough with the 4-way world paying all the attention to the Airspeed performance at the first outdoor competition of the world... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC RhEvolution XP won with a new team indoor record average?
posted: Mar 12th, 2021 The Advanced Class category at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship was officially introduced at the 2020 event. It separated the AAA Class teams the same way as it has happened for many years at USPA's national outdoor championships. Vega XP became the first national indoor champions. All AAA Class teams were still on the same leaderboard at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2019, a year after SDC RhEvolution XP was born as a team. The 2019 event became RhEvolution's first indoor competition, after attending three outdoor meets of the Midwest Skydiving League and taking the 2nd place on... (more)
News Article Did you know that only one single U.S. competitor is coming back in the same event?
posted: Jan 4th, 2021 The recent Indoor Cloud League update, with scores, videos and information coming from the ICL Midwest team, was also touching another interesting topic, which is not directly related to the Indoor Cloud League at all. There have been international world-class competitors participating at the Indoor Cloud League events for many years, and they usually contribute their skills and experiences as player-coaches for the newcomers in the sport. Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team often have world and national champions in their lineups, like Kirk Verner, Brian Krause, Andrew Starr, Jennifer and... (more)
News Article Did you know that Elliot Byrd will be back at the world meet for the U.S. delegation?
posted: Jan 3rd, 2021 The ICL Midwest team added 104 points to the 14+ leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League in December. It concludes the ICL 2020 season for the Midwest team, which is headed by the SDMW NEXT members and was launched by Lauren Byrd in August 2020. The ICL Midwest team submitted scores and videos for all six categories each month ever since and posted the highest total in three of the five months, once in August with the Top 3 teams (Hurricane Factory, Paraclete XP, ICL Midwest) all on the same leaderboard. ICL Midwest and Paraclete XP are the only teams on the 14+ leaderboard with scoring numbers... (more)
