posted: Oct 4th, 2007 Perris Fury already had a very busy 2007 season, which included a lot of team training and four competitions with the original line-up. Chris Farina (Inside Center), Christy Frikken (Outside Center), Josh Hall (Point) and Uli Steuwe (Tail) have a season average of 22.1 in the books after these four meets. The 24.7 average at the July meet of the California Skydiving League was the peak of the 2007 season. The 33-pointer in Round 5 of the same meet is the highest Fury score for a single round. posted: Oct 2nd, 2007 The NSL News covered mostly the teams on the top of the leaderboard throughout the live coverage at the USPA Nationals 2007. Perris Fury in 4th place received attention before and during the competition, and Mass Defiance presented the sequence of Round 5 for the NSL-TV audience on September 8. The position of the team from the New England Skydiving League split the leaderboard between the "full-time teams" and the "weekend amateurs" beginning in 5th place. posted: Sep 27th, 2007 The directors and managers of the NSL affiliated leagues are mostly very active skydivers and competitors. Several of them traveled to Illinois and competed at the USPA Nationals 2007. The passion for Formation Skydiving competition and their close proximity to the action makes them the greatest ambassadors for the sport and their leagues. Annie Peterson has been managing the first season of the new Arizona Skydiving League. She trains and competes as the Center Inside for Arizona Divewerkz. posted: Sep 14th, 2007 The total Airspeed sweep of all the Formation Skydiving competition events at the USPA Nationals 2007 is complete. The Airspeed line-up for the 10-way competition (Craig Girard, Mark Kirkby, Andy Delk, Eliana Rodriguez, Todd Hawkins, Joey Jones, Christopher Irwin, John Eagle, Gary Beyer, John Hamilton, Steve Nowak on camera) played a catch-up game after a penalty in Round 1 that ended with the best score of the competition in Round 6, which was desperately needed to win another set of USPA gold medals. posted: Sep 13th, 2007 There were no suprises on the last day of the 8-way competition at the USPA Nationals 2007. All 8-way teams had settled in their final positions after Round 5. Arizona Airspeed gave away only one single round and had the sole highscores in nine of the ten rounds. The qualification event for the World Meet 2008 in France is over, and the discussions and negotiations regarding the slot as the official US national 8-way team next year begin. Airspeed Odyssey will represent the USA in 4-way, Fastrax Blue is the national team in IPC's female category, the situation in 8-way is open. (more)
