Did you know that Best of Relative is the TEAM of the WEEKEND? posted: May 31st, 2011 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete with the teams who applied the same competition draw at Skydive Perris, Skydive City and in the Czech Republic. The scores of the 14 teams at the Z-Scrambles in Zephyrhills will be added as soon as possible on a separate leaderboard.
Four of the five teams in the Czech Republic competed in the AAA Class, as a few moved up this year after competing in the AA Class last year. Czech League Director Jan Klapka reported that the weather did not allow any jumping on Saturday. However, five teams came back on Sunday and completed the six rounds.

Did you know that Chris Farina witnessed the challenge of Perris Fury's 66-pointer? posted: Apr 9th, 2011 Then it was time for the much anticipated Round 3 at the World Challenge 2011. The sequence of only random formations was not a surprise to the teams since host Paul Mayer has embedded the requirement of a sequence of random formations in his rules for the World Challenge. The only open questions were the letters of the randoms and which round it would be.
Last year's Airspeed "meltdown" was still in everybody's mind in Bedford this year, and the teams were on their toes as of the importance of this special round. A bad performance in Round 3 this time could be very costly.

Did you know that Elsinore launched a new 4-way season in Southern California and the Czech Republic a new windtunnel? posted: Apr 8th, 2011 The season opener of the Southern California Skydiving League was scheduled much earlier this year and went by almost unnoticed. That's not a big surprise since last weekend's full attention was focused on the World Challenge 2011.
Three teams competed at Skydive Elsinore and squeezed their names into the huge leaderboard of the biggest indoor competition in the world. All three teams can be found on the AA Class leaderboard or at the SCSL homepage.

Did you know that the Round 1 videos show a Thunder nightmare into the World Challenge 2011? posted: Apr 6th, 2011 The NSL News review of the World Challenge 2011 continues with the video coverage of the Top 10 teams in Bedford. It begins with Round 1, and the ten best teams are now under the microscope of the NSL News audience from the judging angle. The NSL News also added the point deductions, which were assigned by the judges in this round.
The German national team in the female category, ISB Air, with Gary Smith filling in for Sarah Hajooze, had a great start into the competition and kept up with Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and Thunder throughout the first day in the race for the Top 10.

Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa missed Perris Fury's 66-record by one point? posted: Apr 2nd, 2011 It was no surprise that it would take a little bit longer until the scores for Round 3 would be complete. Perris Fury's 66-pointer at the World Challenge 2010 is the highest score for a single round in the history of Formation Skydiving competition so far.
Arizona Airspeed began to challenge it at the World Challenge 2011 as the first of the top teams and finished with a 60-pointer. NMP-PCH Hayabusa went faster and still ended up one point short with a 65-pointer. Did you know that Arizona Airspeed trained fast sequences today? posted: Apr 1st, 2011 Arizona Airspeed had a training session late on Friday morning before the World Challenge 2011. It was not the official training session, which begins later this afternoon. That's the time when Bodyflight Bedford sets the specific air speed for each team.
Airspeed shared the tunnel time with Perris Jimani, the third US team in the AA Class competition of the World Challenge 2011. SDC Rhythm XP is the second AAA Class team that represents the US 4-way competition.
