Did you know that RealFly-Sion was the most improved team at the Wind Games? posted: Feb 11th, 2017 Yesterday's update was a good reason to get in touch with one of the two 4-way competitors who have won FAI medals for different countries at world championships.
Gary Smith, who has coached NMP PCH HayaBusa and Roy Janssen to the gold medals in Prostejov 2014, agreed to take some time for the next NSL Live Talk. The conversation took place the day after the double-gold/double-country topic made it to the front page for the latest Sun Path Products NSL News story, and the video will be uploaded very soon.
The main subject of the NSL Live Talk was the indoor duel between Weembi Lille and NMP... (more)
Did you know that Weembi's signature lineup will challenge NMP PCH HayaBusa once again very seriously? posted: Jan 19th, 2017 The recently posted Team World Indoor Rankings 2016 included a 4-way team in the Top 10 that has attended only indoor competitions, a total of six in 2015 and 2016.
The Weembi team project was launched by Julien Degen, who works at the wind tunnel in Lille, together with French Girls member Christine Malnis. They had Sophia Pecout and Thomas Perrin in the first Weembi lineup at the World Challenge 2015 where they finished in 3rd place.
Julien Degen has been a member of the French national 4-way and 8-way teams since 2005 and has collected two FAI world meet gold medals in 8-way (2006, 2008),... (more)
Did you know that Weembi Lille is aiming at the top spot of the Team World Indoor Rankings? posted: Jan 17th, 2017 The Sun Path Products NSL News started with the update of the Team World Rankings 2016 with two stories. The first one covered the 4-way Open Class rankings at outdoor meets last year, followed by the 8-way outdoor rankings a few days later.
The outdoor rankings reflected the results of the FAI Mondial 2016 precisely, even though two of the ten best 4-way teams in the world (Golden Knights Gold, SDC Rhythm XP) could not compete at the event. They found their place instead in the Top 10 of the SKYLEAGUE.COM team rankings.
Two all-female teams (Golden Knights, French Weembi Girls) were also... (more)
Did you know that Thunder ISR finishes the team career with the best indoor rankings in team history? posted: Dec 13th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on November 26th that the Thunder ISR 4-way project comes to an end at the end of the 2016 season and posted the farewell message before the team's last competition, the ISR Grand Prix 2016.
The story on November 28th followed up on the sad news and included the last competition rounds that Thunder performed at the indoor meet in Roosendaal.
Thunder won the 8-round competition with the highest meet average in team history (29.3) and with exactly the same lineup (Wesley Claessens, Paul Hofstee, Sven Ibens, Jacco van Eerden) that had started the team... (more)
Did you know that Mass Defiance had a very successful comeback with the original lineup? posted: Nov 5th, 2016 Mass Defiance is a team name that is surely not new to the Sun Path Products NSL News audience.
In fact, Mass Defiance has been a part of the 4-way competition world in the U.S.A. since 2004, when the original lineup (Ben Liston, Jim Rees, John Silva, Brian Stephens, Steve Feldman on camera) finished in 4th place in USPA's Advanced Class at the national championships.
It was 12 years later when the same lineup competed again at the USPA Nationals 2016.
Only videographer Steve "Scuba" Feldman did not make it due to an untimely illness, even though he has been filming Mass Defiance this... (more)
Did you know that Open and Advanced Class 4-way teams suffer low scoring today? posted: Oct 25th, 2016 The second day with the three remaining 4-way rounds is a much harder one for the AAA Class teams at the USPA Nationals 2016 who have to deal with the same three sequences for scores on the Open and Advanced Class leaderboards.
The fastest round of the competition at the end of Monday was followed by the slowest one this morning. It will not get much easier today, as Chris Talbert told the Sun Path Products NSL News this morning during a live NSL Talk from Eloy.
Each of the last three rounds has a 3-block sequence, and the scores of Round 8 indicate how the teams have to be ready to see the... (more)
