Did you know that the Shamrock Showdown included a 4-way VFS duel? posted: Mar 23rd, 2016 The Shamrock Showdown 2016 included once again a 4-way VFS competition, as well. SDC Core's team captain Jason Russell was in DeLand last year with his 2015 lineup to use the scoring and judging opportunity at the beginning of the competition season.
It turned out to be a valuable experience, and the lineup in DeLand won the gold medals at the USPA Nationals 2015.
SDC Core invited more VFS teams to attend this year's Shamrock Showdown. However, only the Golden Knights followed the call and started the 2016 season with a 12.1 outdoor average. The new lineup, with Dan Osorio replacing 8-way... (more)
Did you know that NSL-TV features the Golden Knights in 8-way at Paraclete XP? posted: Mar 22nd, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News was not done with the coverage of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016 when the next events required attention, as well.
The story on March 10th explained how the Aerokart Boot Competition 2016 in Paris, France, was even indirectly connected to the event in Raeford, North Carolina. Both meets took place on the same weekend, and several French 8-way competitors attended the Aerokart 4-way competition (Weembi Demi 8), while the Golden Knights also competed with three 4-way lineups at Paraclete.

Did you know that Arizona Airspeed peaked at the right time in DeLand? posted: Mar 21st, 2016 The aftermath of the Shamrock Showdown 2016 begins with the best of the best in DeLand, the videos of Arizona Airspeed's ten meet rounds.
It was the first competition for the new lineup, featuring new member Mikhail Markine in the Point slot. Niklas Hemlin is back in the driver's seat (Inside Center) after a year in the front piece with Outside Center Thomas Hughes. Thiago Gomes is also back in his 2015 slot, the Tail position.
There is no doubt that NMP PCH Hayabusa and coach Gary Smith will go to work and study the Airspeed videos very carefully, as soon as they are available for reviews.... (more)
Did you know that $1,000 are still on stake for Rounds 9 and 10 in DeLand? posted: Mar 19th, 2016 The teams at the Shamrock Showdown 2016 added two more completed rounds to the leaderboard, and Round 9 is almost complete, as well. Sunday morning will bring the end of this year's event.
The scores of the two rounds on Saturday were higher than on Friday. The meet averages are on the way up, even though Rounds 7 and 8 were both slot switching sequences.
Today's NSL-TV video clips feature the battle for the 2nd place between Aerodyne French Girls and Qatar Tigers. The French national team in 4-way Women was looking forward to the AAA Class competition with some of the world's best AAA/Open... (more)
Did you know that the Shamrock sequences for the first six rounds included three random formations? posted: Mar 18th, 2016 The weather situation was not very promising for the Shamrock Showdown 2016, however, all teams completed six of the scheduled ten rounds on Friay.
The new NSL Talk with the event judges (Chris Talbert, Jim Rees, Dirk Venter) revealed that the competition draw was very challenging. Traditionally, the Shamrock teams pull the numbers and letters for the competition sequences out of the hat (trophy) by themselves, and they were responsible for the fact that all six memory blocks (3,5,10,12,16,17) were drawn for six different sequences.

Did you know that USPA's Advanced Class competition lacks a defending champion? posted: Mar 17th, 2016 OK, I have looked at this for a very longtime, and I have kept my mouth shut while suffering with the poor teams who win the advanced class competition at USPA Nationals. It is about time to take on the topic, as I am usually not shy about speaking my mind.
No worries, it's not a biggie and I don't think that I will step on anybody's toes. In fact, I am hoping that my thoughts will be considered productive.
