Did you know that Dallas 350 is waiting for Indoor Cloud League 14-foot challengers? posted: May 16th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on May 2nd that the recent extension of the Indoor Cloud League dive pool and sequences will allow teams and competitors to test more of their technical skills. Additional sequences for AAA/AA/A Class teams in 14- and 16-foot flying chambers were posted for the first time this month, and the iFLY Dallas team was the first one to take full advantage of the opportunity to get more competition practice.

Did you know that there is no special side-body link-up definition any longer? posted: May 15th, 2016 The recent rule change for the FAI/IPC events that removed the cuts after Round 8 and Round 9 from the format of world meets/world cups was covered by the Sun Path Products NSL News on May 13th. Most other events don't apply any cuts, and the rule change has little impact on the majority of 4-way and 8-way teams.
However, the same IPC meeting in Germany generated and finalized other rule changes, and at least one of them has an effect on all teams.

Did you know that two Black Cat members know how to win 4-way bronze medals? posted: May 14th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News started a series of previews that introduces the top contenders for medals at the Mondial 2016 in September. In fact, it is mostly the story of the bronze medal position, as the battle for the gold medals will most likely be an exclusive affair between NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed.
The series began on May 2nd with the situation of the reigning bronze medalist of Prostejov 2014, Evolution from Canada, followed by more details of the French national team in 4-way Open on May 4th.

Did you know that the FAI/IPC cuts for semi-finals and finals are history? posted: May 13th, 2016 Semi-finals and finals have been a part of the Formation Skydiving competition rules at FAI World Championships and FAI World Cups for over 20 years. In the earlier years, the number of teams who would be eliminated after Round 8 and then Round 9 depended on the total number of participating teams (50% of all teams after Round 8, another 50% after Round 9). The elimination rules changed in 2000, and exactly ten teams made it to Round 9 for the first time at the World Meet 2001 in Spain. Only six of the ten teams then continued in Round 10.

Did you know that MWSL team EXtreme was challenged by two junior teams at the IBA indoor meet in Rosemont? posted: May 12th, 2016 A small 4-way competition was a part of the recent IBA Indoor Competition Series event at iFLY Rosemont in Chicago.
One of the Midwest Skydiving League teams used the indoor competition to get some meet practice before the start of the MWSL 2016 outdoor season. SDC EXtreme came back with three original team members of 2014 and 2015 (Stanley Bukala, Gene Keturakis, Vince Kramolinski) and new EXtremist Andrzej Nycz.
It was the first indoor competition for SDC EXtreme, after six MWSL outdoor meets in the last two years, three in the A Class of 2014 and three in the AA Class of 2015. EXtreme... (more)
Did you know that three DeLand Norgies were back in 4-way action? posted: May 11th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News briefly mentioned the Nordic Indoor Championships 2016 with yesterday's update from Denmark. Pangaea had attended the indoor competition at VossVind after winning the DFU Cup.
The Nordics were a Scandinavian extension of the Norwegian national indoor championships, which were held in 2015 for the first time. The event was the second combined Scandinavian indoor competition, as teams from Finland and Sweden joined for their national championships earlier this year.
