Did you know that the ESL Championship 2016 promises to become a first-class event? posted: Jun 28th, 2016 The ESL Championship 2016 will be hosted for the first time by Germany after the competition site has circled around between Great Britain, Netherlands and Belgium since the inaugural event in 2004.
The hosting rules in the past qualified the winner of the previous ESL Championship as the host for the next event. However, the organizers agreed after the last ESL Championship in 2014 that the European Skydiving League will begin to reach out to other European countries and offer the hosting to other skydiving centers.

Did you know that several teams posted outdoor record averages last weekend? posted: Jun 27th, 2016 Last weekend's outdoor leaderboard is complete, as well. Teams competed at three different locations, and two of the meets completed all six rounds.
The Northern Plains Skydiving League had once again little luck with the weather. The 2016 season opener was completely weathered out, and the June meet did not get too far either. Did you know that Bill Selig completed 50 hours of tunnel time during the Indoor Cloud League June competition? posted: Jun 27th, 2016 iFLY Seattle submitted scores for the June competition of the Indoor Cloud League before teams jumped from air planes at last weekend's three meets. The new outdoor leaderboard will be posted later today.
Deb Correia reported from Seattle that she had four teams participating in the ICL June competition.
Three of the teams turned in the scores for five of the six ICL categories, and the coaches (Djordje Mandaric, Steve Platt, Dmitry Rudchenko, Bill Selig) took on the AAA Class sequence for the iFLY Seattle team.
The total of 105 points is currently the 2nd place on the 14+foot leaderboard... (more)
Did you know that a small 4-way meet exposes a big flaw in the tie-breaking rules? posted: Jun 25th, 2016 The June meet of the Virginia Parachute Council was only a small event with four teams. However, it included an exciting and very interesting battle for the 2nd place behind winner Suffolk Sabotage.
Where's Chris? and Sister Wives ended up tied after their five rounds, and Where's Chris? was declared the team in 2nd place of the VPC meet, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on June 22nd.
VPC Director John Meyer had applied the current USPA/FAI rules for a tie-breaking situation, and the battle of his two AA Class teams exposed a weakness of the current definition.

Did you know that JaNette Lefkowitz has joined the Golden Knights until the Mondial 2016? posted: Jun 24th, 2016 There has been a rumor floating around for a while, which is not a rumor any longer.
The 4-way Women team of the Golden Knights recently announced that SDC Rhythm XP member JaNette Lefkowitz has joined the U.A. Army team for the remainder of the 2016 season and through the Mondial 2016:
"We would like to welcome JaNette Lefkowitz as our new Outside Center for the USA Female 4-way Team! We are training hard with our eyes towards the World Meet at SDC!"
JaNette Lefkowitz replaces former Outside Center Angela Nichols Navarro, who is not able to continue with the Golden Knights.FAI World Meet... (more)
