Did you know that Purple Maze and HF Flying Circus will be opponents again in April? posted: Mar 2nd, 2023 It used to be normal procedure in the NSL 4-way Network that teams in the United States and in other different countries around the world would use the same competition draw on any given weekend. Enough events were scheduled which would generate the interesting leaderboards with participating teams from regions far away from each other.
The implications of the corona virus crisis interfered heavily with this well working and popular format and the according procedures, and other ways to connect teams with each other did not generate similar results and combined leaderboards from different live... (more)
Did you know that SDMW NEXT and Lightspeed XP had the closest race at Paraclete XP? posted: Mar 2nd, 2023 The closest finish of all 4-way events at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2023 happened in the middle of the 13-team field on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, where Skydive Midwest NEXT and Lightspeed XP ended up tied in 6th place of all the U.S. teams.
The two AAA Class teams have shared the same leaderboards since Lightning XP was formed for the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2021, even though the first Lightspeed XP lineup (Shannon Catalano, Brandon Kashani, Kirk Verner, Nicholas Walker) switched once to the Advanced Class competition and won the USPA gold medals in October 2021.

Did you know that HF Cubs, NFTO and XPG4 have never posted scores on the same leaderboard yet? posted: Feb 28th, 2023 The series of national indoor championships and other indoor events at this time of the year create a very similar situation as it used to be before any vertical wind tunnels were built and used for training and eventually competition.
National outdoor championships, regular meets of the National Skydiving League and any other 4-way events were the opportunities for teams to collect real competition experiences and compare their scores with each other before attending world championships and world cups.

Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP was the most improved team behind Golden Knights at Paraclete XP? posted: Feb 27th, 2023 One of the most impressive performances at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship was delivered by SDC Rhythm XP. It was once again a new Rhythm lineup that competed at this year's national indoor championship. The NSL News had introduced it with a live interview at Skydive Sebastian on 19 November 2022.
The time together for the lineups in the first 13 years of SDC Rhythm XP (2007 - 2019) increased lineup by lineup and was most successful at the end of the 4-year commitment between 2016 and 2019 (JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz, Doug Barron, Andrew Happick).

Did you know that the Qatar Tigers return to the place where they began with AFF training in 2008? posted: Feb 26th, 2023 The second leg of the NSL News road trip in Florida was related to Qatar's Formation Skydiving delegation, as well. The two "farm teams", Cheetahs and Lions, were training with their coaches Gary Smith and Luc Verstrepen at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, while the Qatar Tigers had their own training camp with new coach Andy Grauwels at Jump Florida in Lake Wales. The Tigers were not alone in Lake Wales. In fact, the majority of competitors from Qatar were at the same place for training, including the military CISM events, Accuracy and Style, and Canopy Relative Work.

Did you know that Gary Smith and Luc Verstrepen had a real NSL Coaches Corner this time? posted: Feb 25th, 2023 It was not too long ago when the NSL News was asking Qatar coaches Gary Smith and Luc Verstrepen for their review and evaluation of the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022, primarily related to the teams of the Qatar delegation.
Qatar Falcons won their second consecutive FAI 8-way silver medals, and the Qatar Tigers added a set of bronze medals in 4-way Open, also consecutively after the 3rd place at the FAI Tanay Mondial.
