News Article Did you know that Agera defeated DeLand Norgyx at Norway's indoor championship?
posted: Mar 30th, 2023 The series of national indoor championships across the world continued with Norway's event on March 10/11 at Vossvind, the same location that will be hosting this year's FAI Outdoor World Cup in August. Skydiving center and windtunnel are both located in Voss, outside and east of the city of Bergen. The DeLand Norgies, now under the new name of DeLand Norgyx, were back with the same lineup (Ole Petter Hjelle, Pål Kolbenstvedt, Carl-Erik Tuv, Torstein Valen) who had outscored Norway's national 4-way team Agera at the outdoor championship in August last year. The team name changed from DeLand... (more)
News Article Did you know that three teams shared the Indoor Cloud League highscores for February?
posted: Mar 29th, 2023 The results of the Indoor Cloud League's February competition scrambled the very young 2023 leaderboard at the end of the second month. The winner of the last two years, Kyle Hermberg's iFLY Dallas team, took back the lead after a 1-point deficit at the end of January. The Top 3 rankings at the end of February currently resemble the final 2022 leaderboard in December, where the new ICL team at iFLY Fort Lauderdale in Florida was not a part of the monthly indoor competition. Anion Flux XP member Felipe Della Giustina launched the new Indoor Cloud League team after training with 4-way fans... (more)
News Article Did you know that Switzerland and Finland have new teams at the indoor world championship?
posted: Mar 29th, 2023 It used be normal procedure on almost any given weekend before the corona virus crisis that indoor or outdoor events would happen to take place at the same time, and the NSL 4-way Network connected them by synchronizing the competition draws. Result would be more interesting leaderboards with teams who were geographically far away from each other. This format is still a part of the NSL 4-way Network and will hopefully come back to the same level of relevance with the slowly ongoing recovery of the sport. Most recently, two different indoor events applied the same competition draw and created... (more)
News Article Did you know that the French national 4-way Open Class team had a quick transition from outdoor to indoor?
posted: Mar 28th, 2023 The French national team in 4-way Open and national coach Mathieu Bernier did not have much time for the transition from outdoor to indoor competition. They completed the ten rounds of the Shamrock Showdown 2023 on Saturday, March 11th, at Skydive DeLand in Florida, added some training jumps from the PAC 750XL on Sunday, traveled back to France on Monday and performed Round 1 of the French Indoor Nationals on Saturday, March 18th, at Aerokart in Paris, exactly seven days after Round 10 in DeLand. The same lineup competed under a different name (Medjay Fullfly Bordeaux) and finished far ahead... (more)
News Article Did you know that Jeana Billings brings XPG4 straight back to FAI gold medal contention in Slovakia?
posted: Mar 26th, 2023 The official preliminary list of teams for the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 allows the NSL News to post an up-to-date preview. It is the 4-way Women event that features the first NSL Power Rankings, and which may also promise the most exciting battle for the FAI indoor medals. It seemed for a while that there would be a duel for the indoor gold medals between the British outdoor world champions of NFTO and the former indoor world champions in 4-way Junior from the Czech Republic, HF Cubs. The situation changed when French national coach Mathieu Bernier successfully recruited a very... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Florida Skydiving League has potential for a comeback after the Shamrock Shamrock 2023?
posted: Mar 25th, 2023 The Shamrock Showdown 2023 brought together the best national 4-way teams in the world earlier this month, who represent their countries at the world championships and world cups. The performance and quality level cannot be any better than at this event. However, the event also offers the unique opportunity for any other teams to be at the same time at the same place and share the facilities and logistics with the same top teams. The world championships and world cups every other year are limited to AAA Class competition, with the 4-way Junior event (AA) in addition at indoor events. These... (more)
