Did you know that FS competitors executed a stunt demo at a NASCAR race last weekend? posted: May 29th, 2007 Several west coast competitors joined forces last weekend to execute a demonstration jump at a NASCAR race in Charlotte, the Coca Cola 600. Tom Sanders of Aerial Focus, one of the most experienced professional freefall photographers in the history of skydiving, was in charge to put the stunt together and recruit the group of skydivers.
The demo at the NASCAR was a promotional stunt for an action movie that will soon come to the mainstream movie theaters: the "Rise of the Silver Surfer". The movie features an adventure of the "Fantastic Four": (more)
Did you know that the World Challenge 2007 DVD shows "Experts at play"? posted: May 26th, 2007 The World Challenge 2007 at Bodyflight Bedford was obviously a high-profile competition with incredible scores and performances, in 4-way Formation Skydiving competition just as much as in Freeflying. The NSL News live coverage of the event has given enough evidence for that part of the competition.
However, it was also the atmosphere and the meet environment that made the World Challenge 2007 very special. It was fun to be there and entertaining to watch the different activities.

Did you know that the Golden Knights competed with John Hoover in the line-up? posted: May 25th, 2007 The scores of the Carolina Skydiving League have been added to last weekend's leaderboard, which is now complete. A total of 34 teams competed at five different locations and made it the biggest field of the 2007 season so far.
Dan Winkelstein managed the CASL meet in Raeford for league director Randy Garman and provided the meet information. The CASL 8-team field included the Golden Knights with a change in the line-up. The NSL News story on April 27 briefly mentioned that Eric Heinsheimer injured his neck at the CASL season opener on April 21.

Did you know that the "Gene is The Man Boogie" includes the first MESL 2007 meet? posted: May 25th, 2007 The upcoming weekend will kick off the 2007 season at three different locations. The Ranch Skydiving League at the Blue Sky Ranch in Upstate New York is ready to send several teams into the races of the AAA Class and the AA Class. Christine Kelley has handed over the management of the league affairs to veteran skydiver and competitor Roger Cunha, who has prepared the league for the season opener.

Did you know that the Dutch teams will post their first scores at the Tomscat Trophy in June? posted: May 24th, 2007 The NSL News began with a preview of the 2007 situation in the Netherlands with the story on May 11. Punky Fish, the Dutch national 4-way of the past years, decided to discontinue after the World Meet 2006 in Germany, and the slot of the new national team is open.
The same counts for the situation in FAI's female category of the 4-way event. Infinity represented the Netherlands at the World Meet 2006 in Germany and does not come back for the 2007 season.

Did you know that the Midwest Skydiving League features an exciting AAA Class competition this year? posted: May 23rd, 2007 The NSL News story on May 15 provided a preview of the Midwest Skydiving League's 2007 season, which will be launched with the first meet on June 2.
The new 2007 line-up of Skydive Chicago's Furies was introduced with the first MWSL story. The NSL News continues with the second MWSL team that will compete in the AAA Class this year.
CSC Rhythm has its home at the Chicagoland Skydiving Center and was already introduced briefly in a review of the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007. The player-coach team around Robert Chromy competed in the AA Class competition in March this year and posted a 10.9 average... (more)
