News Article Did you know that the cash jackpot for the Shamrock Showdown is already at $4,100?
posted: Mar 11th, 2007 The NSL-TV coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2007 keeps a lot of attention still focused on the first competition of the 2007 season. It almost distracts from the fact that the next high-profile competition is already coming up next weekend. The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2007 is coming up for the 6th time at Skydive DeLand. The first Shamrock Showdown with the current format was already held in 2002. It used to be the third meet of the regular Florida Skydiving League season in 2002 and 2003. The FSL ran meets in January and February back then, as well. The FSL decided in 2004 to offer teams and... (more)
News Article Did you know that Round 5 was the first on-line showdown between Golden Knights, Fastrax and Airspeed Odyssey?
posted: Mar 9th, 2007 Round 5 of the Valentine's Meet 2007 had one of the fastest AAA Class sequences of the competition in Eloy. In fact, the three random formations and Block 5 (Opal - Opal) indicated that it might be the fastest round of the 10-round meet. The other faster rounds (1 and 8) included slower blocks (22 and 14). The mirror image or slot switcher that comes along with Block 5 made the sequence more challenging. Eventually, Round 5 turned out to be only in second place (121 - 114 - 109), according to the scores of the six AAA Class teams that completed all ten rounds. (more)
News Article Did you know that Natasha Montgomery is the 2006 Skydiver of the Year?
posted: Mar 8th, 2007 It was on 26 May 2004 when the NSL News mentioned Natasha Montgomery for the first time (Archives > 2004 > News). She had competed with Arizona Blade at the May meet of the Southwest Skydiving League, and the story simply provided the names of the team members (Thomas Hughes, Mark Kirkby, Natasha Montgomery and Beat Steffen). The story of the June meet did not go any deeper, as well. Arizona Blade received more attention when Robert Healy joined the line-up, and the story on 3 August 2004 introduced the new line-up, mostly focused on the new Blade member. (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey and France Maubeuge lost points in Round 4?

NSL-TV found Directe's round three of the Valentine's Meet and added it to the other videos of the competition on the separate NSL-TV event page. (more)

The NSL News will travel to Great Britain in April and cover the 2nd annual wind tunnel competition at Bodyflight Bedford, the World Challenge 2007 on April 7/8. Goal is to complete the NSL-TV coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2007 before the start of the Shamrock Showdown. The NSL News story on February 28 mentioned that the Golden Knights had provided the NSL News with the video footage of two training jumps, which were rounds three and five of the Valentine's Meet. Round 3 has been uploaded and is currently featured. This brings the first video of the Golden Knights into the picture. (more)
