posted: Sep 6th, 2005 How much more exciting can it get? It was almost unthinkable but it happened, the Golden Knights lost their 2-point advantage in the last round. Both teams are tied after ten rounds, and they just took off for the jump-off. DeLand Fire delivered a solid performance without taking any chances, and the Golden Knights suffered a bad Block 18 and got stuck with 18 points within working time. (more)

Did you know that the AA Class competition mirrors the AAA Class race after eight rounds?
posted: Sep 6th, 2005 The AAA Class teams have been on a hold after the completion of round nine. Actually, all teams except the top five continued jumping to complete round ten but have not been judged yet. Plan is to send the top five back in the air at 3:00 pm and have a live judging on stage and in the middle of the crowd. The live judging was introduced at the USPA Nationals 2003 in Lake Wales and created a lot of excitement and great atmosphere at the competition site. The race for the first place is obviously close enough to make round ten a final showdown. The sequence for the last round (13 - 18 - J)... (more)

posted: Sep 6th, 2005 Round eight brought the next shocker. After the DeLand Fire dominance throughout the first four rounds yesterday, the Golden Knights had taken control of the meet in rounds five and six. DeLand Fire recovered overnight and kept up with the Golden Knights this morning. However, it looked as if the Army team had found its rhythm and strength and was now solid on the way to the gold medal. It changed again in round eight. Pete Allum is the new member of the Italian world class team Italy Sinapsi PD. He is in Perris to compete as the player coach with his "Second Team", Kachina. Of course, he is... (more)

Did you know that NSL-TV is back on and in courtesy of USPA?
posted: Sep 6th, 2005 Good new for the NSL-TV fans. Meet director Scott Smith discussed the issue with Chris Needles in the USPA headquarters, and the NSL News has permission to upload more video files captured from DZ-TV. There were seemingly misunderstandings as of the purpose of the NSL-TV feature, and the NSL News is grateful that USPA brings allows the popular service back to the audience. The NSL-TV videos of the USPA Nationals 2005 are now presented by the NSL News as courtesy of USPA. NSL-TV was not back early enough to cover the first round on Tuesday morning. posted: Sep 6th, 2005 The NSL News fell a little bit behind at the second half of yesterday's event coverage in Perris. The reason for the interruption was a conflict with USPA that was unforseen. The NSL News had prepared the coverage of the USPA Nationals as properly as possible and asked for permission to do the normal NSL News business in Perris. The conflict came to the surface when meet director Scott Smith and USPA's Director of Competition, Larry Bagley, asked the NSL News to stop uploading video files of the meet for NSL-TV.
