Did You Know...

... that Dan BC offers the "P3 4-Play Event" to all hard-core league players?

P3 4-Play Event in Perris
posted Mar 27th, 2007 - The next event on the NSL 2007 schedule is the World Challenge 2007 at Bodyflight Bedford on April 7 - 8, then the California Skydiving League kicks off its 2007 season in Elsinore on April 14. The hosts of the west coast league in Perris and Elsinore prepare their 4-way communities in different ways.

Former Airspeed 4-way and 8-way world champion Dan BC is heading the Formation Skydiving competition efforts in Perris with his P3 project (Perris Performance Plus). He currently prepares a 4-way camp for the league's teams and competitors and for guests from everywhere, which takes place on June 3 - 9.

Perris headcoach Dan BC will be supported by Andy Delk (Airspeed Odyssey), his former Airspeed teammate and current Arizona Directe player coach, Gary Beyer, and local 4-way veteran Pat McGowan. The week-long camp in Perris is officially called the "P3 4-Play Event".

Dan BC and his fellow coaches say that this camp is made for people who love 4-way and who "thrive on how it sharpens your individual skills while demanding you to work as part of a team to be the best you can be."

The 7-day event will take the form of a structured team training camp ending with a handicap competition on the final day. There will be five fully coached training days, including tunnel time, and 10 training jumps. One off-day is planned to give the participants the needed rest.

Dan BC says that the new event has been requested by individuals with 4-way team experience who are unable to commit to a team but still want to stay active in competition. He added that these individuals "need a good 4-way fix like this to do it."

However, already fully formed teams are invited, as well. They can take advantage of an intensive training week in Perris, with direct access to some of the top coaches in the world and their competition experience.

Dan BC plans to make the "P3 4-Play Event" a hard-core week of training that applies tested and proven training methods and techniques. The training plan includes several "back-to-back" jumps. The participants may have to bring, borrow or rent two rigs to experience this efficient training method.

Participants can come as individuals or in pre-made groups of 2-ways, 3-ways or 4-ways. The coaches will match the groups up with new team mates for the week, based on the individual experience and competitive history.

The minimal experience requirements at the "P3 4-Play Event" for the participants who are coming with less than a full team is a 10-point average in a previous AAA/Open Class competition. The coaches also assume previous 4-way tunnel training experience. There are no minimal experience requirements for fully formed teams.

The focus of the coaches will be on "cultivating winning team dynamics" and using the individual skills to their maximum potential in order to benefit the team. Dan BC says that the new event is unique in offering participants the opportunity to put their skills to the test as a member of a team in a competitive environment while sharing that experience with like-minded individuals and some of the best coaches that the world has to offer.

The training camp is offered as a package, and the details can be found at the event page. Interested individuals or teams can also get in touch directly with Dan BC.
