Did You Know...

... that Perris Fury is looking for a committed 2007 videographer?

posted Dec 5th, 2006 - The new NSL-TV videos feature round six of the USPA Nationals 2006. Unfortunately, the DeLand Groove video of this round is the only one missing of the provided original footage. The valued NSL-TV audience will miss the moving pictures of the round where the new USPA champion finally broke the tie with Team Fastrax and increased the lead over all other contenders by at least two points.

DeLand Groove will be back on NSL-TV when it's time for round seven. NSL-TV has made an effort to compensate for the missing video by creating a page with links to all previously shown videos of the USPA Nationals 2006. This link is set on the top of the event page and will be updated round by round.

Arizona Divewerkz continued with the team's cruise to the USPA gold medals in the AAA/Advanced Class. Round six was one of the two rounds where another team of the same competition class was able to tie an AZDW score for a single round. Onyx in round five and Cross Keys Vision in round six were the only teams that managed to keep up with AZDW one time each throughout the whole 10-round competition.

Arizona Divewerkz was more seriously competing with the bottom field of teams in the AAA/Open Class competition. Murel Addison (Outside Center), Blane Boynton (Point), Cindy Nieves (Tail), Annie Peterson (Inside Center) and Gordon Lindsay (Video) beat Arizona Razor and Elsinore Select by a significant margin (146 - 140 - 136) and also won a few rounds against the next teams up on the leaderboard (Dallas Thunder - 157, Synchronicity - 159).

Karen Lewis
The NSL-TV audience still has to navigate to Perris Fury's competition jumps. However, they are still available and well worth the little extra effort. Chris Farina (Inside Center), Christy Frikken (Outside Center), Josh Hall (Point) and Uli Steuwe (Tail) are currently preparing for the 2007 season.

Karen Lewis, who flawlessly filmed the team throughout the 2006 season and at the USPA Nationals, will probably step back. Perris Fury recently published a message where the team was looking for a team videographer for the 2007 season:

Perris Fury 2007

Got Video? Be a part of our team!

Perris Fury has been a successful, professional 4-way team for over two years. We anticipate winning US Nationals next year and are looking for a video guy or gal to represent the United States with us.

The person we are looking for is as dedicated to camera as we are to our 4-way. As with the rest of the teammates, we need someone who is fun, excited, and positive. Experience is wonderful, but enthusiasm and attitude are more important. We are willing to train anyone who has the drive for excellence. Hired guns are not a good fit.

Perris Fury believes the video person is a total teammate and wants someone who is willing to share in our successes and daily challenges. We understand the higher costs and unique nature of this position and do our best to accommodate and integrate our camera person.

As our success grows, Fury receives many benefits including free and discounted equipment and other fantastic paybacks. As our camera person, you will have prime opportunities to film many of Perris' great events. Our camera person is welcome to participate in as much of our growing business as they desire. You can also expect to be our first choice when it comes to filming the teams we coach and organize.

Perris Fury schedules approximately 100 training jumps a month, almost entirely midweek, making over 800 jumps through the entire season. Our schedule is available for the 2007 season. For further information or to indicate your interest, talk with any member of Fury, call 520-280-9244, or email Christy Frikken.

Team Fastrax
The Perris team is not shy announcing the team goal for the 2007 season. Two teams have already made clear that they plan to win next year's USPA championship and qualify as the US national team, Team Fastrax and Perris Fury, while the Golden Knights announced a very strong line-up for next year, as well.

The NSL News looks forward to report on the progression of all declared top contenders of the 2007 season.

Ranch Pulse increased the lead in the AA/Intermediate Class competition by three points in round six. Air Force CAD and Chicago Furies both ended up with 9-pointers, while the Ranch team had the highscore of the round with 12 points. The 7-point lead after round six seemed to be a very comfortable cushion, but the situation changed already in the next round.

Air Force CAD also competed at SkyQuest 2006 in November, and NSL-TV is ready to upload the first jumps. The Air Force team was hoping for another showdown with Ranch Pulse at the NSL Championship 2006. However, the fresh meet videos still provide enough evidence how close both teams were in Eloy in October.
