Did You Know...

... that the second round of the last Southwest Skydiving League meet is now on NSL-TV?

posted Jun 3rd, 2004 - The new round of NSL-TV is now posted. The 12 teams that competed at the third season meet of the Southwest Skydiving League 2004 were facing the second round with two- or three-block sequences. The sequence for the AAA Class was faster this time compared to the sequence for the AA Class teams (17-22-20). Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) at the beginning of the AAA Class sequence gave the teams at least a good time out the door. The rest was hard work with little reward on the scoreboard.

The AA Class teams did not get any relief and went back and fourth between Blocks 22 (T - Chinese T) and 20 (Piver - Viper). A Class team Giftwrap's sequence for round two included Blocks 6 (Stardian - Stardian) and 21 (Zig Zag - Marquis). However, this kind of a technical sequence is only painful when looking at the scoreboard. The sequences are surely more entertaining and challenging compared to Random Formations. Especially Blocks 22 and 20 include a lot of individual and piece flying in combination.

Synchronizing the pieces of the block puzzle is challenging and brings great satisfaction when it all falls in place. Arizona Blade added some more distance between themselves and the rest of the AAA Class field in this round, despite an accident during Block 22 on the first page. Blade once again provides the images of the AAA Class sequence. Elsinore Satori is the other AAA Class team that is featured on the front page. Satori consists of player coach John Hamilton, Gary MacDonald, Julie Richter, Joe Heifer, and Pat Newman on video. The Elsinore team tied the second highest score in this round with Elsinore GT and Perris Exceed. The same three teams continued this race throughout the whole meet with EGT taking the second place after six rounds and Satori and Perris Exceed tied in third place.

Elsinore Equinox and Elsinore Fuse represent the AA Class teams on the NSL-TV front page for the first time. The first four of the five AA Class teams in Perris were separated by only one single point in this slow round. None of the teams succeeded to get past the seventh point. The transition from the seventh to the eighth point was the long Inter move of Block 20 (Piver - Viper). Equinox consists of Kevin Thompson, Rob Cope, Steve Simar, Don Mullenix and Ray Cottingham on video. Fuse members are player coach Lou Ascione, Chris Luff, Caitie Unkovic, Morgan Dunn and Jim Cowan on video. Giftwrap once again shows the A Class sequence. Enjoy the show.
