Did You Know...

... that the story of round 10 in 4-way?

France Maubeuge with gold medals and Excalibur
posted Sep 11th, 2003 - A quick glance at the scoring table says it all. There are highscore marks all over the board in the first-place row, from round two through round ten. And even in round one France Maubeuge would have had the highest score without the centerpoint penalty. The French team competed in a league of their own. There was no competition for them. They are the true world champions. Congratulations for an outstanding performance. Could it have been different at all? The NSL News will follow up later with more feedback from coaches and competitors and a meet evaluation.
DeLand Norgies in third place
The U.S. 4-way team, the Golden Knights, were never really challenged in their second position, as well. They delivered a clean performance with no penalties, which worked to their main advantage. Round ten only served as the tie breaker for the bronze medal. And the Norgies won the bronze medal at the World Meet for the third consecutive time. The U.K. team Sebastian XL finished one single point behind. It was the also the third time that these two teams fought it out for the bronze medal. And it was the second time that XL needed one more point to get to a jump-off.
