Did You Know...

... that DeLand Majik and Italy Kewara posted record scores in DeLand?

Scoring tables of the quick leagues
posted May 16th, 2004 - Leage managers and webmasters worked very quickly last weekend. Many of the scores were available for the 4-way fans much earlier compared to last year. The results of the competition at Skydive DeLand were posted after each round on Saturday. The German and Texas Skydiving League scores were already posted on their websites on Sunday. The EuropeanSkydiving Leaguewebsite had additional scores from Spain. The large scoring table below is the result of these great efforts. The remaining scores from the Northern Plains, Carolina, Indiana, the Netherlands and Switzerland will be added as soon as possible.
DeLand Majik
Fact is that it was a record weekend in many aspects. The number of competing teams will most likely break the previous records. The most impressive performances at Skydive DeLand in Florida set new benchmarks on the athletic side. DeLand Majik posted a 25.5 meet average, the highest average ever in a six-round meet. Majik had no round with a score lower than 20 points. The score of 41 points for round two is two points higher than the official FAI world record of 39 points, which was posted by Arizona Airspeed in 1999 at the USPA Nationals in Sebastian. It is still one point below the currently unofficial world record of 42 points by the French national 4-way team. The NSL-TV will post the Majik jump very soon. It will show that the sequence for the Majik score of 41 points was not an easy one at all. Stay tuned for more scores, stories and pictures.
