Did You Know...

... that the Owls delivered high-quality bigways at SkyQuest 2011?

Kaleidoscope Divers at SkyQuest 2011
posted Nov 18th, 2011 - Day 2 at SkyQuest 2011 was almost the opposite of the Thursday situation. There were not the highest expectations to get much jumping done due to the weather situation on the first day, and both Kaleidoscope teams, the Hawks and the Owls, completed three and two bigways.

The skies over DeLand were clear in the morning and sunny all day long today, and both groups still only completed one more jump. The winds on the back side of the front passing through on Thursday kept Kaleidoscope Divers and 4way fans on the ground after a successful start in the morning.

However, especially BJ Worth's Owls already deliver bigway performance like they were at the end of the 4-day event, warmed up and in tune. Andrey Veselov's beautiful video provides the evidence.

Plenty of time for dirtdiving: Carolina Fly Girls
The 4way teams that made it to DeLand at the very end of the 2011 season in the USA had plenty of time to look at the competition draw. HTH made the trip from the Northern Plains Skydiving League, the Carolina Fly Girls came from Skydive Carolina in Chester, and Midwest team SDC Tempo were drawing their own sequences from the NSL trophies. Three teams from Florida will try to defend the home turf.

The competition draw and team introduction took place at noon. The takeoff for Round 1 was scheduled for 2 PM and was extended hour by hour, as the winds did not subside. Now the 4way teams and Kaleidoscope Divers are very well prepared for the jumps on Saturday morning. Takeoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM, and both events will be launched at the same time.
