... that BJ Worth released the roster of the Kaleidoscope Dives 2011?

BJ Worth with Kaleidoscope Divers at SkyQuest 2010
posted Nov 13th, 2011 - It's a very large list of names that has now been added to the Kaleidoscope Dives home page of SkyQuest 2011. World Team leader BJ Worth has finalized and published the roster of his two big-way groups who will begin with their 2011 quest for challenging big-way sequences on Thursday.

BJ Worth and his group group of team captains (Tom Claeys, Lesley Gale, Mike Johnston, Dieter Kirsch, Victor Kravtsov, Rob Laidlaw, Herman Landsman, Patrick Passe, Roger Ponce de Leon, Lou Tommaso, Alia Veselova) will organize the biggest NSL event of the year at Skydive DeLand. Andrey Veselov, Craig O'Brien, Henny Wiggers and George Katsoulis are filming the big-ways and will provide the footage for the usual NSL News coverage.

There are many familiar names from the Formation Skydiving competition community on the roster, as participants have been competing in the past or are still doing it and entertain themselves with the big-ways for a change. The Kaleidoscope Divers of SkyQuest 2011 are coming from any parts of the world, as the roster shows.

Polaris with head coach Steve Hamilton at the World Cup 2011
There is a POPS big-way event in its final stages this weekend, and the DeLand citizens have had the opportunity to get familiar with the formation of jump planes flying across the area in beautiful formations under clear blues skies. There will be a short break after the weekend before the five planes will get busy again on Thursday morning.

In the meantime, the Norwegian 4way team Polaris, bronze medal winner at the World Cup 2011, has arrived with coach Gary Smith for a quick 1-week training camp at this busy time in DeLand.

Polaris completed 12 training jumps on the day after the Thursday arrival and added 13 jumps on Saturday while the POPS jumpers did their big-ways. It has been a good test for the multi-task situation that SkyQuest brings to DeLand every year. The NSL News plans to meet with Polaris and coach Gary Smith for a new NSL Talk session. The Norwegian team is the only medal winner of the World Cup who continues with exactly the same lineup and an intensive training plan. Once again, Norway has produced a new world class contender, and the NSL News will follow up with more information very soon.
