NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that a boarding call interfered with a Brit Chicks NSL Talk?

German warmup session in the morning fog
posted Aug 4th, 2011 - It was a slow start at the World Cup 2011 this morning. Thick fog after yesterday's rain did not allow an early morning takeoff. The first boarding calls came around 11 AM.

The weather situation still required the meet management's full attention since there were clouds that made spotting more difficult than on Tuesday. However, the planes are in the air now, and the host is working hard to catch up after losing almost the whole Wednesday.

The NSL News was preparing a new NSL Talk session with the popular Brit Chicks 8way team when a boarding call interfered with the plan. The UK team had to repeat Round 3 and did well with an 11-pointer that secured the 6th place for the moment. The NSL News will try again at a better time.

Marco Arrigo with the Brit Chicks on Thursday morning
The new NSL Reality TV clip brings the atmosphere on Thursday morning to the audience. Actually, the video begins with the last activity on Wednesday evening. The rain eventually stopped and brought sophisticated model planes in the air. It was too late for any team jumps, but the model planes provided exciting maneuvers instead.

The NSL TV camera followed the Brit Chicks and coach Marco Arrigo to the loading area when the boarding call canceled the NSL Talk. Other teams got ready for different rounds, as well. The Golden Knights went up for Round 4 in 8way, while their French 8way opponents wished them well while preparing for their Round 5 in 4way.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa was in the boarding area at the same time, together with Sky Panthers Barkli. France did well after exchanging good wishes with all opponents and won Round 5 by two points over Hayabusa. Aerodyne Aerokart has a 3-point lead now. The NSL News will follow up with the videos of Round 5 very soon.
