Did You Know...

... that Team 4 Speed XP does not compete this weekend?

Team 4 Speed XP with coach Philippe Schorno
posted Mar 16th, 2011 - The next preview video clip of the Shamrock Showdown 2011 begins once again with the new arrivals in DeLand. Another French 4-way team joined the training activities today. However, this team will not compete at the Shamrock, even though the NSL News suggested this experiment.

Team 4 Speed XP is the French national 4-way team in Vertical Formation Skydiving. The NSL News met the team last time at the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011, as the story on 7 March 2011 reported.

The French team, world champions of 2010, had an exciting 1-point race with SDC Standard at Paraclete XP. The NSL News story included footage of the vertical flying experts from two different viewing angles. Today's video clip includes Team 4 Speed XP's very first training jump in DeLand.

UK teams SnicNutz and Boogie Nights
National coach Philippe Schorno, former French 4-way world champion with the TAG team in 1987, 1989 and 1991 and 1993, is coaching his VFS 4-way team, while Marin Ferre was still working with both French 4-way teams of the belly flying event in preparation for the Shamrock Showdown. National manager Jeremie Rollett completes the French coaching staff currently in DeLand.

The French teams take their day off tomorrow, while Arizona Airspeed will make a few warmup jumps Thursday morning. NMP-PCH Hayabusa was back in training today, as well. It is a light schedule for the Belgians today and tomorrow.

The NSL News also found both UK teams, SonicNutz and Boogie Nights, at the same place and at the same time. They were sharing the same jump plane and were also working simultaneously at the mockup. That all happened by coincidence.

CamScore's Jo Bell and Andy Mansfield arrive tonight. Thursday will be setup time at the dropzone. The competition draw is a part of the opening ceremony at 7 PM at the Clarion Hotel.
