Did You Know...

... that Project Home Team had a great start into the 2011 season?

Team 4 a Day participants
posted Feb 4th, 2011 - It is getting exciting now that the first Arizona Airspeed scores are only a day away. The NSL News is on the way to Raeford where Airspeed's new lineup will attend the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011, while other US top teams will challenge Airspeed's top position of the past years. The rest of the skydiving world is eager to see what the Arizona team has to offer at this point in time, especially the audience in Belgium and France...

However, there are other events that take place while the 4-way community prepares for the next showdown beginning tomorrow morning at Paraclete XP. The NSL News reported on 26 January 2011 that this year's Valentine's Meet will have much better participation when the new French Aerodyne Aerokart lineup challenges Airspeed on their home turf in Eloy.

Arizona Frenzy member Jocelyn Bernatchez had informed the NSL News that she and her team mate Ian Mackenzie were preparing four AA/Intermediate Class lineups for their first competition in 2011.

Project team Altidudes
She followed up with new information of the "Project Home Team" after Arizona Frenzy hosted this year's first "Team 4 a Day" event last Saturday: "We had a fantastic turnout, and the group made almost 100 skydives total."

The participants included two full teams training as part of the Project Home Team program, Code 99 and The AltiDudes. There were also several local and visiting skydivers participating just for the day.

The participants for the day were put into groups with player coaches Jocelyn Bernatchez and Ian Mackenzie. Annie Peterson, occasional AZ Frenzy member and Alpha Armada member in Dubai 2011, also showed up and helped out by making a few 4-way jump as a player coach.

MWSL team Flying Fish
Another 4-way team, Skydive Chicago's Flying Fish of the Midwest Skydiving League, was also training at Skydive Arizona on the same weekend to get a head start for the 2011 season. Flying Fish was jumping along with the project teams and was lucky when a team member fell ill. Ian Mackenzie was able to step in, and the MWSL team could continue with the training.

Jocelyn Bernatchez said that it was a great day by all counts: "Everyone had fun and hopefully learned something too!"

She also provided the lineups of the local AA/Intermediate Class teams that will compete at the Valentine's Meet. Cold Fusion consists of Remi Aguila, Bekie Thompson, Jose Aguilera, Eric Forshee, with Mark Walck on camera. Eric Forshee will be out of town for the meet, and Annie Peterson will be filling in for him.

Project team Code 99
Code 99 has Paul Hadzellis, Michael Hotz, Dave Linkiewicz and Scott Pearsall in the lineup, with Cris Skrabut on camera. The AltiDudes are Chris Anderson, Jason Jones, Dennis McKenna and Alex Swindle.

"It's OK We're Cute" is a team name, and the cute team members are Chazi Rutz, April Eldredge, Shavon Simpson and Valerie Motyka.

Eric Mielke is filming this beautiful lienup. Eloy Firestorm completes the local lineup of teams and consists of John Verley, Leigh Estabrook, Pat Marcanio, Celso De Mello, with Terry Schumacher on camera.

The Valentine's Meet 2011 does not only seem to offer a great showdown between France and Airspeed. It also promises a great competition between the local teams in the AA/Intermediate Class.
