AA Class gold for Perris Jimani in 2010
posted Dec 13th, 2010 - NSL-TV now wraps up the AA Class competition at the NSL Championship 2010 with the videos of the last three rounds.

It begins with a quite unique situation in Round 7. All four AA Class teams posted the same score, 10-pointers for the 2-block sequence (9-15). Wind Damaged was the only team that completed 11 points in time but lost a point under Eric Heinsheimer's sharp eyes.

Wind Damaged was still up by one point over Perris Jimani, lost the lead in Round 9 and eliminated Jimani's 1-point advantage in Round 9. The Perris team still won the AA Class title with the highest score in Round 3 when the weather situation did not allow the completion of the meet.

AA Class gold for Perris Jimani in 2007
It was the 4th time that Perris Jimani won the NSL Championship title in the AA Class. Team founder Jim Earman is actually the only Jimani member who can claim the quadruple victory. The lineup has changed every year since 2007.

Jim Earman brought the first Jimani lineup to the NSL Championship in October 2007 when SkyQuest moved from Fantasy of Flight to Skydive DeLand in November. Perris Fury members Chris Farina and Uli Stuewe were player coaches for Judy White and Jim Earman, Niklas Daniel was filming the team.

It was only a 3-round meet in 2007, and Wind Damaged was also one of the opponents that year. Jimani won by two points over Perris Momentum and three points over Wind Damaged. The first title was in the bag.

AA Class gold for Perris Jimani in 2008
The NSL allows the winning team to come back in the same competition class and defend the title. Jimani was back in 2008, and Tail Jim Earman had three new players by his side: Rusty Lewis, Hannah Betts and Nick Grillet. Thomas Hughes was filming the team.

Wind Damaged was back, as well, and both teams went over the whole distance of ten rounds this time. It was the same hard work for Jimani, as the much higher 12.6 average was barely enough to defeat the FSL team. Wind Damaged posted the team's highest 10-round average (12.1) and still ended up in 2nd place.

Jimani had only one player coach in the 2009 lineup. Perris Fury's Center Outside Christy Frikken guided Jim Earman, Brian Sawatzky and Janna Wynne through the next 10-round battle, which was even tougher than the previous ones. Rob Harrick was filming Jimani when Teiwaz Eagle was eventually defeated by two points (117 - 115). Jimani's Point Janna Wynne was also jumping with BJ Worth's Kaleidoscope Divers, together with Teiwaz Eagle member Mario Mauro.

AA Class gold for Perris Jimani in 2009
Janna Wynne liked the challenge of double duties in 4-way and 104-way and signed up once again for both events at SkyQuest 2010. Jim Earman, Christy Frikken and Rob Harrick were also back from the 2009 lineup, and Janna Wynne was again running back and forth between landing from big-ways and the 4-way boarding area.

Jimani had one new member though, and Jim Earman had to give up his Tail slot for the first time. Kitsann "Kid" Dounglomchen was the youngest and newest Jimani member - of age and competition experience both.

He was in for the toughest battle of his short competition career, as Jimani could not shake off Wind Damaged at any time. Eventually, he helped AA Class veteran Jim Earman, who competed for the first time at the NSL Championship in the Center Inside position, to win his 4th NSL title. Jimani is still allowed to defend the title in 2011...
