posted Nov 5th, 2026 - Spaceland Dallas' Pajama Party skipped a few Indoor Cloud League events in the run-up to the USPA Nationals 2026, where they won the USPA gold medals in the AA/Intermediate Class. However, they did not completely abandon indoor training and competition while preparing for the national outdoor championship.

Maintaining a healthy balance between indoor and outdoor 4-way training is actually quite common for teams, at least when weather conditions do not allow them to train outdoors. Only indoor competition usually takes a break when the outdoor season is in full swing. The Indoor Cloud League, however, runs throughout the year, as it also serves as an introduction to 4-way training and competition for newcomers. For this purpose, ICL events include two additional Rookie Class categories (RR/R), which offer an even easier entry into the world of formation skydiving competition than the RRR Class, whose sequences consist of more challenging random formations.

The combination of all 4-way levels, from the AAA Class down to the very first steps in the R Class, gives newcomers an opportunity to see what lies ahead on their path toward mastering complete 4-way skills as they work on their Rookie Class sequences. National indoor and outdoor championships begin at the A Class level, with the first eight of the 22 blocks.

Kyle Hermberg, Skydiver of the Year 2023 and organizer of the Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Dallas, has consistently used his ICL events to introduce new participants to 4-way training and competition. Once again, a newcomer joined the September event, as Juliana Nogueira became part of the iFLY Dallas team and performed her first two Rookie Class sequences alongside Mauricio Farina and player-coaches Alexa Maydew and Michael Erickson. Her team contributed 34 points to the September total.

Alexa Maydew and Michael Erickson also teamed up with Kyle Hermberg and Lucas King to perform the two 4-way Open Class sequences (AAA/AA), adding another 34 points to the September ICL total. Spaceland Dallas Pajama Party contributed 37 points with the remaining two September sequences before going on to win the USPA gold medals the following month.

Pajama Party may continue competing in the same categories they have covered throughout the 2026 indoor and outdoor season through the end of the year, and possibly even remain in the AA/Intermediate Class in 2027. They are still eligible for that category after finishing 3rd at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2026. However, they will have to move up to the AAA/Advanced Class if they plan to compete at the next USPA Nationals after winning this year's U.S. outdoor championship. Either way, iFLY Dallas now carries a 59-point lead (1027–968) into the final two months of the ICL season.
