posted Mar 31st, 2026 - As mentioned by NSL News in today's earlier update, which addressed scoring corrections following the completion of the Weembi FS Cup 2026, the results of the BENELUX Indoor Championship 2026 also needed closer review.

As expected, the situation proved to be similar. The scores from Belgium earlier this month were generated using the same judging system employed at Weembi Lille. NMP PCH HayaBusa’s 34.0 average was, in fact, based on a total of 340 points over 350 seconds of working time across ten rounds. The judging calls themselves remained unchanged by NSL News; and HayaBusa lost a total of additional 12 points due to infringements reflected on both leaderboards.

As already noted in today’s earlier update, the judges at the Belgian event did not validate NMP PCH HayaBusa’s 69-point Round 10 as a potential world record, since such a result must be evaluated using an officially sanctioned scoring system. Even the reduced score of 65 points—after the same three-point deductions—could have qualified as an indoor world record if the administrative requirements had been met. However, the use of an unapproved scoring system, combined with the failure to designate the event as an FAI/ISC second-category competition, prevented any world record from being officially recognized at the national championships of Belgium and the Netherlands. In general, national indoor and outdoor championships can qualify as second-category events.

NMP PCH HayaBusa - Out Of The Blue at the BENELUX Indoor Championship 2026

The NSL News re-timed the ten rounds for the top four teams at the BENELUX Championships. NMP PCH HayaBusa, Out Of The Blue (OOTB), and Ayro are all registered for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. The adjusted 27.0 average for the Dutch national team in the past years improved its position in the NSL Power Rankings, where the new lineup now appears securely within the top ten. OOTB lost 17 points and Ayro 8 points as a result of the scoring adjustments.

The NSL News also included the pickup team Airbenders in the re-timing project. Without their own adjustments, Airbenders would have been very close to both OOTB and Ayro on the leaderboard. However, after re-timing, they lost a total of 14 points and ultimately finished nine points behind Ayro in fourth place. Ayro, in turn, ended up significantly closer to their Dutch rivals in the final NSL rankings.

The Airbenders lineup featured original NMP PCH HayaBusa member Sven Ibens, who competed against his son Siem Ibens, the youngest and newest member of OOTB. He was joined by his former Thunder ISR teammate Wesley Claessens, marking a friendly reunion. Thunder ISR (Sven Ibens, Wesley Claessens, Paul Hofstee, Jacco Van Eerden) was one of the strongest unofficial amateur teams in the world between 2009 and 2016. Sven Ibens and Wesley Claessens continued competing together for several more years with ISR Fireflash, where Lena Clynhens met Sven Ibens. Bart Daenen, an OOTB member from 2017 to 2023, completed the Airbenders lineup.
