Did You Know...

... that scores and rankings required adjustments following the Weembi FS Cup?

InTime at FAI Weembil Lille in 2019 and 2026
posted Mar 31st, 2026 - The Rolling Aethers were not as close to the historic NMP PCH HayaBusa 35+ performances as it initially appeared. Alban Rumolo and Mathieu Quizy will have another opportunity when they rejoin their own team at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. Their teammates from last weekend, Julien Degen and Roy Janssen, are not registered for the FAI competition.

Attentive observers in the audience informed the NSL News of discrepancies between the scores on the 4-way leaderboard of the Weembi FS Cup 2026 and the results generated by private judges using the same competition videos. NSL News confirmed these differences and has made adjustments to the leaderboards, beginning with those from last weekend’s competition at Weembi Lille.

The host and judges at Weembi Lille used a scoring system that is not officially approved by FAI/ISC. The same system was also used at three previous indoor events, including the BENELUX Indoor Championship 2026, which will undergo further review by NSL News. Judges at the event in Belgium did not validate NMP PCH HayaBusa’s 69-point Round 10 as a potential world record, as such a result must be evaluated using a sanctioned scoring system. The upcoming FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 at Weembi Lille will use the officially recognized InTime scoring system.

Weembi FS Cup scores before the adjustments

Amnesya Fly X - Dynos at the Weembi FS Cup 2026
4-way AAA awards at the Weembi FS Cup 2026
The unofficial re-timing of the competition rounds at the Weembi FS Cup led to significant changes in meet averages and even altered placements in the top rankings. Rolling Aethers actually finished below the French national team’s current lineup at the Wind Games 2026 (33.2) and were not close to either NMP PCH HayaBusa or Weembi High Rollers from the 2018/2019 period.

Dynos claimed second place by a single point over Italy’s Amnesya Fly X, though they will have to postpone their goal of a 30-point average until the next indoor season. Amnesya still achieved a new team indoor average record and was appropriately moved up in the NSL Power Rankings for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. They are now expected to compete with Skywalkers Most for fourth place and the unofficial title of the world’s top amateur indoor team.

The battle behind the top three at the Weembi FS Cup became even more compelling after the score adjustments. The two British competitors (Mark Fletcher, Hari Ganapathy), together with their two player-coaches (Julien Degen, Roy Janssen), were initially four points ahead of Monaco F1 when the first scores were posted. In reality, this contest was just as close as the duel between Dynos and Amnesya, with only a one-point difference after the revisions. Weembi Slow Rollers finished slightly below their record average with the same lineup (27.2) while Monaco F1—featuring Italian player-coach and former HayaBusa member Michele Silve—posted their highest average to date.

Weembi Slow Rollers - Monaco F1 at the Weembi FS Cup 2026
NMP PCH HayaBusa in Round 10 at the BENELUX Championship 2026
The adjustments to the Weembi FS Cup scores were applied only up to fifth place, although additional discrepancies are expected for the remaining seven teams as well. The impact of the short delay between the end of the 35-second working time and the final score at the freeze frame is more pronounced for the top teams, who perform at peak speed in the final seconds of working time.

The 18-point difference between Rolling Aethers’ original total (346) and the corrected score of 328 for 350 seconds of working time occurs at the very end, when top teams need only fractions of a second to complete another formation. Teams operating at a slower pace are less affected and will not see such significant discrepancies when reviewing their own performances.

NSL News will also revisit the top scores from the BENELUX Indoor Championship, where the same scoring system was used. NMP PCH HayaBusa (BE), Ayro (BE), and Out Of The Blue (NL) are all scheduled to compete at the indoor world cup, and their previous meet averages continue to influence the NSL Power Rankings. Amnesya Fly X has improved its position due to higher scoring and a stronger performance level, even after the re-timing adjustments. Other changes to the NSL Power Rankings may not be necessary, as the indoor world cup introduces ten new sequences and a different judging system for all participating teams.
