... that NMP PCH HayaBusa are back in Florida for outdoor training?

17th consecutive CISM gold medals in 2025
posted Mar 2nd, 2026 - It was in November 2025 when NMP PCH HayaBusa made their last outdoor jump from an aircraft. They had traveled to Qatar, where they won their 17th consecutive CISM 4-way world championship title for Belgium. Team captain Dennis Praet and inside center Neal Willems provided an online update from Doha after Round 3 on 19 November 2025. Dennis Praet later followed up with a summary of last year’s CISM experience on 28 November 2025.

Afterward, the entire team moved back into the indoor environment, with the exception of team videographer David Grauwels, who had to wait until this month to return to 4-way action behind the camera. NMP PCH HayaBusa had completed their previous outdoor training camp ahead of the CISM World Championship at Skydive City in Florida — their final outdoor camp of 2025 — which was covered by NSL News on 22 October 2025.

Almost five months later, they have returned to the same location to launch their 2026 outdoor season. The 2025/2026 indoor season is not over yet, as the FAI/ISC indoor world cup is still coming up at Weembi Lille in April. HayaBusa will therefore switch back and forth between the two environments after completing their outdoor training at Skydive City. They still have ten hours of indoor training scheduled before the world cup.

NSL Live Talk with NMP PCH HayaBusa - NSL TV Unfiltered on 1 March 2026
This week's training camp at Skydive City
NMP PCH HayaBusa attended the Wind Games 2026 in January, and a review of the event became part of the latest NSL Live Talk conversation, recorded at the end of yesterday’s training day after twelve jumps at Skydive City.

Dennis Praet had discussed the situation ahead of Round 1 at the Wind Games with the NSL News on January 23rd, including an update to the NSL Power Rankings. The most recent change to the Arizona Airspeed lineup was also a topic at that time, along with the future slot assignments within the new roster. Dennis Praet was particularly familiar with Airspeed’s front piece, as he and Joey Marshall share a similar slot history, both starting at point and then moving to outside center. They both brought their world-champion experiences to the center later.

However, the changes in the rear piece came as a surprise — not only to Dennis Praet, who had expected Doug Hendrix to continue in the tail slot and Alisson de Vargas at inside center. The review of HayaBusa’s performance at the Wind Games 2026, along with an evaluation of their strongest indoor and outdoor rivals, Aethers and the Golden Knights, ultimately became the main focus of the latest NSL Live Talk with NMP PCH HayaBusa, recorded with all team members present in Zephyrhills.

Aethers - NMP PCH HayaBusa - Golden Knights at the Wind Games 2026
Back with and against Golden Knights in June
The results of the Wind Games 2026 were more than satisfying for HayaBusa, especially after Dennis Praet had outlined his expectations during the NSL Live Talk conversation in January — and even more so after reviewing the final numbers on the leaderboard. This year’s ten sequences at the Wind Games were slower compared to the January 2025 event, and the Belgian team finished closer to their previous meet average than their direct rivals, including Aethers, currently ranked as the world’s top 4-way team.

In fact, HayaBusa ended up a few points closer to the French national 4-way team than they had in 2025, while extending their lead over the Golden Knights from three points a year ago to fifteen points in January 2026. They are also the only team to have tied Aethers in several rounds across the combined twenty rounds of the Wind Games in 2025 and 2026.

However, the members of HayaBusa are fully aware that indoor events can present a different picture compared to outdoor competition. They once again confirmed that switching from indoor to outdoor training and competition is considerably more challenging than the reverse transition. The next switch for NMP PCH HayaBusa will come after the indoor world cup, before they meet the top U.S. teams — including the Golden Knights and Arizona Airspeed — at the XP Summer Classic in June. Aethers and the Golden Knights face an even more radical transition, traveling directly from France to Florida for the Shamrock Showdown 2026 - 1st Bob Hallet Memorial just one week later.
