... that XP4 unveils a new 4-way Women lineup?

XPG4 lineup in 2024
posted Feb 4th, 2026 - The NSL News update on January 30th was part of the Wind Games 2026 coverage, but it also included a competition that had taken place two weeks earlier: the Air World Championships 2026 at CLYMB Abu Dhabi.

Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner mentioned the event during their recent NSL Live Talk conversation. Both competed in the 8-way event with Paraclete XP8, while Jeana Billings also flew in the 4-way event for XP4.

The XP4 lineup was essentially a pickup team, made up of XP8 members along with Laura Galdamez, who happened to be in Abu Dhabi for the 16-way competition. The all-female team enjoyed the experience enough to begin discussions about forming a dedicated XP4 lineup to compete in the 4-way Women category—and potentially secure the U.S. qualification spot at the upcoming Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2026. The winning team at the end of February will represent the United States at the next Indoor World Championship in 2027. XPG4 represented the U.S. at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025, earning bronze medals with Michelle Karamon, Anna Brunner, Laura Galdamez, and Brenn Richards in the lineup.

XPG4 lineup in 2025
Jennifer Davidson and Jeana Billings had also won the outdoor world championship title together at Crystal Coast 2024. Following their visit to Abu Dhabi, they began making plans with Laura Galdamez, the most recent former member of XPG4.

Anna Brunner was part of the XPG4 lineup in 2022 and 2023, which won FAI gold medals at the outdoor World Cup in Voss, Norway 2023. Ready for a return to 4-way competition, Anna Brunner was on board when Jeana Billings, Jennifer Davidson, and Laura Galdamez came back from Abu Dhabi motivated to continue with a new 4-way Women team.

The NSL News did not expect to encounter the new XP4 lineup in training at Paraclete XP and took the opportunity to learn more about the team. The group had scheduled an indoor training camp at the same time Jeana Billings and Jennifer Davidson were committed to 8-way indoor training. They were aware that SDC Rhythm XP and new XP8 member Doug Barron would be managing similar double duties, with 4-way training in the morning followed by 8-way sessions in the afternoon. The XP4 athletes adopted Doug Barron’s schedule, resulting in long training days while balancing both commitments.
