... that Natalie Rodriguez and Russ Bayuk launch Indoor Cloud League 2026 in the Midwest?

ICL Midwest team in January 2026
posted Jan 28th, 2026 - The ICL Midwest team of the Indoor Cloud League established a strong presence on the monthly leaderboards after joining in August 2020. Members of Skydive Midwest NEXT originally launched the ICL group and sustained participation throughout the corona virus crisis until the end of 2022. During 2023, ICL Midwest posted scores and videos sporadically until CSC Constellation XP founders Natalie Rodriguez and Russ Bayuk resumed regular ICL 4-way events, continuing through March 2025. During this period, their own 4-way team transitioned from a 1st-place finish in the AA/Intermediate Class at the USPA Nationals 2024 to a 3rd-place finish in the AAA/Advanced Class the following year.

Natalie Rodriguez and Russ Bayuk are now preparing a new Constellation lineup for their second year competing in the AAA Class and are resuming Indoor Cloud League events at the same time. The first event of 2026 has already produced scores and videos for five of the six ICL sequences on the January leaderboard before the month’s end. Natalie Rodriguez and Russ Bayuk stated that they plan to submit a score for the remaining AAA Class sequence soon. In 2025, Constellation trained and competed with reigning GKXP8 indoor world champion Andrew Happick as a 4-way player-coach. Andrew Happick, a former SDC Rhythm XP member, will continue in a coaching role only, while Natalie Rodriguez and Russ Bayuk continue recruiting for the new lineup.

A total of 28 participants welcomed the return of the Indoor Cloud League event, with eight lineups competing across the six January sequences. Seven teams engaged in internal competition for the highscores in four categories (A, RRR, RR, and R). Three different lineups eventually shared the highscores across three sequences, while four player-coaches—Natalie Rodriguez, Russ Bayuk, Eva Chamard, and Gus Bittenbender—collaborated to generate the scoring numbers for the AA and A sequences.

Player-coach Gus Bittenbender is a member of CSC Singularity, the team that won the A/Beginner Class at the USPA Nationals 2024 and placed 8th in the AA/Intermediate Class one year later. Singularity—Gus Bittenbender, Abby Smat, Eric Sweet, Hemanth Gutti, with Herman Lopez on camera—will likely aim to earn USPA medals in the same category this October, marking their third year of 4-way competition.

A new A/Beginner Class team may also emerge from the Indoor Cloud League events. Danni Liu, Justin Hensley, and Fozan Rizvi have participated in previous ICL events and plan to form their own team. Pawel Rolnik attends the same events to support Danni Liu and assists with video production. The new lineup can rely on guidance from senior 4-way competitors at Chicagoland Skydiving.

Brianna Riley and Sarah Alghareeb attended their first ICL events this month. Natalie Rodriguez player-coached Brianna Riley at her debut event, flying alongside Cindy Dobber and Pao Orihuela. Eva Chamard introduced Sarah Alghareeb to ICL 4-way, with Casey Long and Danni Liu completing the lineup for the day. Lem Castro’s team—Kenneth Serrine, Michael Fuentes, and James Spencer—represented ICL Midwest in the RRR Class on the January leaderboard. Gus Bittenbender posted an 18-point score for the R Class sequence with Kat Jarboe, Bruce Turner, and Jonah Moore.
