Did You Know...

... that FS Nuts and Magic 4 represent Lithuania successfully?

Rookie Class team FS Nuts in 2022
posted Dec 5th, 2025 - The AA Class competition at the ISR Grand Prix 2025 was almost as exciting and dramatic as the AAA Class duel between NMP PCH HayaBusa members Neal Willems and Ray Lodens, which even required an extra round to break their tie. The NSL News covered their internal showdown in an update on December 2nd.

AA Class winners FS Nuts from Lithuania and the Dutch 4-way team FS 4 The Occasion came within a single point of needing their own tie-break at the end of the 8-round meet. The Lithuanian guests claimed victory with a new team record average (16.0), a significant improvement over their previous best of 14.6 posted in April this year.

The Dutch home team competed in their first 4-way meet together, while FS Nuts have been regular contenders in Poland’s Flyspot Liga. In fact, until traveling to the Netherlands last month, FS Nuts had never competed farther from home than the Flyspot wind tunnels in Poland. The longer journey paid off: they set a new team record and topped the AA Class leaderboard, which featured ten teams from four different countries. The medal positions went to Lithuania (FS Nuts), the Netherlands (FS 4 The Occasion), and Italy (Micol Fly).

FS Nuts - FS 4 The Occasion at the ISR Grand Prix 2025
AA Class awards at the ISR Grand Prix 2025
FS Nuts have followed an ideal progression through formation skydiving’s competitive categories, thanks to Flyspot Liga’s long-standing use of all four National Skydiving League classes. The team began in the Rookie Class in 2022, moved to A Class in 2024, and this year attended four meets in the AA Class.

Lithuania borders Poland to the northeast, and the Flyspot wind tunnels are within driving distance for Lithuanian teams. FS Nuts are not the first to take advantage of this proximity. Lithuania’s long-running 4-way team, Magic 4, has made the same trip many times and has competed at numerous European events since 2005. Both teams are now exclusively indoor competitors, although Magic 4 last competed outdoors at the 2014 World Championships in Prostejov.

FS Nuts and Magic 4 have not yet appeared on the same leaderboard. Magic 4, Lithuania’s national 4-way team at previous FAI/ISC events, has always competed in the AAA Class since the team was formed in 2005—just as the NSL category system was being introduced. It seems likely that FS Nuts will eventually join Magic 4 on a AAA Class leaderboard. Both teams competed at the Flyspot Liga meet in April this year, where Magic 4 won the AAA Class and FS Nuts placed behind two Polish teams in AA.
