posted Dec 2nd, 2025 - The annual ISR Grand Prix in Roosendaal, Netherlands, attracted 32 teams across the four NSL categories this year, matching last year’s participation exactly—even though some BENELUX teams (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) did not travel to Roosendaal. NMP PCH HayaBusa (BE), Out Of The Blue (NL), and Ayro (BE) had previously competed at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 in Teuge, Netherlands, in August and did not register for the 8-round indoor competition. However, members of these teams joined other 4-way lineups for the event.

Neal Willems and Ray Lodens of NMP PCH HayaBusa, fresh from their trip to the CISM World Championship in Qatar, quickly switched from the outdoor to the indoor event. Both competed with ISR Grand Prix winner MayroBusa. Willems even competed in a second team, ISR Project 2025, who finished in 2nd place. Former ISR Fireflash member Maya Van Campenhout joined him in both lineups and contributed to the team name, which also included the Belgian 4-way team Ayro.

Ayro member Steven Lopes joined MayroBusa, giving him the chance to compete at a very different performance level. The complete Ayro lineup had previously posted their highest score at the Belgian indoor championship in December of the previous year, achieving a 21.7 average. MayroBusa, however, won the ISR Grand Prix 2025 with a score of 26.4 after eight rounds.

MayroBusa - ISR Project 2025 at the ISR Grand Prix 2025

Maya Van Campenhout and Neal Willems faced a unique situation: they had to compete in a tie-breaker round against each other when MayroBusa and ISR Project 2025 both finished with 211 points after the scheduled eight rounds. MayroBusa, with the two HayaBusa members, won the extra round by a single point over Maya Van Campenhout and Neal Willems with a relatively new 4-way competitor, 21-year-old Noam Cohen, who had only A Class 4-way experience with his previous team. Robin Vezant, competing in the point slot with his own team, Garudas, also took on the tail position for ISR Project 2025, which required quick adaptation.

Steven Lopes was not alone at the ISR Grand Prix 2025. His three Ayro teammates also competed, all placing in the Top 5 of the AAA Class leaderboard. Arne Vandendael finished just behind the top teams with Double Trouble Twice the Fun in 3rd place, alongside Annelies Hasewinckel and Sven Ibens.

Their son, Siem Ibens, competed separately with 4guysnocup, with next Ayro member Wim Dens in the lineup. Finally, Ayro’s 4th member, Els De Bie, finished in 5th place with 35 Seconds Delay. All Ayro members of 2025 are planning for the 2026 season and will be able to share their new experiences. Neal Willems and Ray Lodens will focus on indoor training and competition with NMP PCH HayaBusa.
