posted Oct 30th, 2025 - The NSL News covered the internal 4-way duel between XP Angels and Platinum XP with the update on October 18th. The story was a part of the previews for the USPA Nationals 2025 where the two teams would compete in different categories, XP Angels in 4-way Open, Platinum XP in 4-way Advanced. However, the combined AAA Class leaderboard of the NSL News would bring all teams of the same two categories together round by round and in the final standings.

The ten rounds of the national outdoor championship have been completed successfully at Skydive Arizona, and Platinum XP finished once again ahead of XP Angels. The 4-way Women team finished on the level where Platinum XP's current lineup performed in the past and posted a new team record with the 11.7 average. However, Platinum XP lifted their own performance level at the right time and finished with this lineup's own record average.

Both teams were not on the same USPA leaderboard, as XP Angels were aiming at the 4-way Women qualification for the next world championship. They were eventually surprised by an unexpected opponent, Ranch TNT, who finished 24 points ahead of XP Angels and won the 4-way Women slot in the U.S. delegation next year.

XP Angels did not really give Platinum XP too much attention during the competition, as they had the 4-way Women qualification primarily in their mind, and Platinum XP had their scores posted on a different leaderboard. The two teams still had their special relationship and history together, which eventually materialized literally in the following 8-way competition.

XP Angels and Platinum XP joined forces for the 8-way Intermediate Class competition, where they played a role in the battle for the USPA medals. They were tied in 3rd place with one of the two Air Force Academy teams who took the gold and bronze medals in the 8-way Intermediate Class competition. Platinum Angels XP then lost the last two rounds and ended up in 4th place.

It was not the complete XP Angels lineup in the 8-way combination with Platinum XP. There were only four slots for the XP Angels and four for Platinum XP. Marcella Rey joined the Perris Ocho Loco lineup in 8-way Advanced and won a bronze medal in this event. XP Angels videographer Alix Raymond took the 8-way slot in front of the camera, and Patrick Kessler was filming the Platinum Angels. He had stepped in on camera for Relentless in 4-way Intermediate, as well. Platinum XP’s videographer Kevin Penn is on camera for XP8 and was not available.
