... that NMP PCH HayaBusa's Dennis Praet followed up on Gary Smith?

NSL Live Talk with NMP PCH HayaBusa last week
posted Oct 28th, 2025 - The new NSL Live Talk format that was introduced with yesterday's online interview of Gary Smith was encouraging enough to continue a similar approach with other observers of the USPA Nationals 2025. NMP PCH HayaBusa's team captain Dennis Praet has been following the 4-way competition just as carefully and attentively as his former coach, who was still in Qatar at the time of the competition at Skydive Arizona.

Dennis Praet and his team had just returned back to Belgium after a training camp at Skydive City. The NSL News had visited the Belgian 4-way team last week in Zephyrhills before traveling to Arizona, and the NSL Live Talk with the complete lineup concluded the 1-day trip from DeLand to Zephyrhills.

NMP PCH HayaBusa were training only the CISM dive pool and sequences at their recent training camp, as they expected tough challenges by the Golden Knights and the Qatar Tigers throughout their upcoming efforts in Qatar to defend their military CISM world championship title once again successfully. Unfortunately, it seems like neither Qatar Tigers nor Golden Knights will try to dethrone NMP PCH HayaBusa this year. The Belgians will probably take the 17th consecutive CISM gold medals back home, which will also be the first world championship title for new member Ray Lodens. Neal Willems won his first CISM gold medal already in 2024.

The next direct confrontation between NMP PCH HayaBusa and Golden Knights will probably happen at the next indoor world cup at Weembi Lille next April. The U.S. Army team won the same duel at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. Dennis Praet and his team mates followed the Golden Knights performance at Skydive Arizona to check the new progression of their future U.S. opponent.

It is now a fact that the Golden Knights will compete for the U.S. delegation at the next outdoor world championship in October 2026 in Eloy. NMP PCH HayaBusa have one year to level the 9-point difference that separated the two teams at Skydive Teuge in August. Both teams have Aethers Lille as their target, who were 17 points ahead of the Golden Knights after Round 10 at the outdoor world cup.

The difference was down to five points at the end of the 4-way competition at the USPA Nationals 2025, and Dennis Praet evaluated the situation with the access to the meet videos. The three top contenders for next year's FAI outdoor gold medals and possession of the William H. Ottley Sword for the 4-way world champions seem to be closer from meet to meet. The 2026 race to the outdoor world championship and the ten rounds themselves promise an extremely tight competition and accordingly an interesting road to Eloy 2026. All three teams are now on this same road, and they will meet each other before, as well.
