posted Oct 26th, 2025 - The 4-way competition at theUSPA Nationals 2025 is taking place without Jennifer and Matt Davidson this year. Jenn Davidson is the alternate for Arizona Inertia, while Matt Davidson only participates as the alternate for the new Paraclete XP8 lineup. That's where his wife has a slot in the active lineup. However, together they only follow the 4-way action as observers and had enough time to spend on Sunday, the first day of 4-way competition, for new NSL Live Talk.

The 8-way team mates and world champions of 2018 still follow the 4-way competition at Skydive Arizona carefully, where their former U.S. Army team mates run away from Arizona Airspeed round by round and keep getting closer to the French national team, Aethers Lille. Matt Davidson won 8-way world championship titles with the Golden Knights, Jennifer Davidson first with the U.S. Army's 4-way Women lineup in 2016, then two years later with the Golden Knights 8-way team, then again with 4-way Women team XPG4 in 2024. Matt Davidson has his own 4-way history, as well, first with the Golden Knights. later with Arizona Airspeed.

The 8-way competition begins the day after the 4-way competition has been concluded, either on Tuesday or on Wednesday. That's when Jenn Davidson gets back into 8-way action this time. Her XP8 lineup will have to fend off a challenge by the Golden Knights 4-way team and Arizona Airspeed who join forces for the 8-way competition. Michelle Karamon replaces Chris Kuhlmann who is busy as a player-coach for Mandatory Fun!

NSL Live Talk with Jenn and Matt Davidson at the USPA Nationals 2025

Jenn Davidson's 4-way experiences bring good memories back for her. She won 4-way Women gold with the Golden Knights in 2016 and with XPG4 in 2024. Her husband's most recent 4-way experiences are related to Arizona Airspeed and go back to the USPA Nationals 2019. The dramatic battle with SDC Rhythm XP for the USPA gold medals and the qualification for the outdoor world championship in 2021 became a historic event. Matt Davidson had stepped into the Airspeed lineup when they had to replace Ari Perelman just a few months before the USPA Nationals.

Airspeed lost the extra round and missed the Tanay Mondial 2020, even though they outscored SDC Rhythm XP with the same lineup a few months later after more training for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2019 in Eloy. It was the only outdoor world championship that Airspeed did not compete at for the U.S. delegation since 2006.

The current situation in Eloy turns more and more in the same direction. This time it is the Golden Knights lineup of the last three years who have a demanding lead over the new Airspeed lineup on the first day of the national outdoor championship. Only the winner will compete again at the same place, and the current leader on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, Aethers Lille, will be back trying to win their own first world championship gold medals, whether it will be Arizona Airspeed or Golden Knights as their U.S. opponents. It looks much better for the U.S. Army team at the moment.
