Did You Know...

... that NMP PCH HayaBusa train only CISM sequences at Skydive City?

1000-jump celebration in May 2025
posted Oct 22nd, 2025 - NMP PCH HayaBusa's previous visit at Skydive City for a training camp was in May this year. The NSL TV Unfiltered video included the traditional canopy piloting performances, and NSL Live Talk completed the coverage of the training day. The training camp in May was a part of the preparations for the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025.

There was another special occasion that happened on the same day in May. Newest HayaBusa member Ray Lodens passed the 1000-jump benchmark during the training day. He took a more or less voluntary bath in Skydive City's swooping pond after the last training jump for the team's celebration of his impressive progression.

Less than half a year later, NMP PCH HayaBusa were back at Skydive City, and Ray Loden's total number of jumps was up by 500. The NSL News was able to squeeze in another 1-day trip to Zephyrhills in Florida on the day before the departure towards Skydive Arizona and the USPA Nationals 2025. The HayaBusa members took the time once again to add half an hour of interesting NSL Live Talk after the training day was over. Team videographer David Grauwels missed the conversation this time, as he was debriefing the training jumps of the Czech Republic's CISM 4-way team and preparing the training jumps for the next day.

David Grauwels still provided some of the HayaBusa footage that is showing his team in action. He was working with the Czech CISM team (Dukla) who are eager to take the top position of the complete military CISM world championship, which is decided by a scoring combination of the three traditional military disciplines (4-way, Style, Accuracy). Dukla cannot win the 4-way competition, while they are the top contender for medals in the combined scoring disciplines.

Both teams were actually training the CISM dive pool and rules, as the HayaBusa videos are showing. This year's CISM world championship is the first one for Ray Lodens. David Grauwels, multiple CISM and FAI 4-way world champion with NMP PCH HayaBusa, came back into the active lineup last year to defend the Belgian CISM 4-way gold medals successfully.

Ray Lodens traveled to Hungary with his team in 2024 to collect his first CISM experiences as an observer and alternate. This November in Qatar, he has to help actively to win his first CISM gold medal and the 17th consecutive military world championship title for Belgium. As the Czech 4-way, NMP PCH HayaBusa were only training CISM sequences at this training camp. Their main opponent in Qatar are the Golden Knights, who are still heavily involved with the FAI/ISC format. The U.S. Army team has to win the USPA Nationals first before they can compete at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026, and Arizona Airspeed want to win on their home turf next week, as well. NMP PCH HayaBusa will be watching the event in Eloy very carefully.
