Did You Know...

... that two teams switched quickly from outdoor to indoor in Brazil?

Outdoor and indoor: Fun Family
posted Aug 4th, 2025 - The NSL News reported the results of Brazil's national outdoor championships 2025 with the update on July 30th. The story featured primarily Brazil's military Netunos 4-way and 8-way teams of the Navy, who have been representing the country at the most recent major events.

The Brazilian Navy has participated in 4-way and 8-way events in Brazil for a long time with the Netunos, however, it took a while until they eventually became a national top contender. The 4-way team was still competing in the AA Class when they joined Brazil's Tunnel League in 2019, before they moved up to AAA Class competition later the same year.

The 8-way lineup has an even younger history in the NSL News records, and the current lineup keep increasing their performance and scoring level. This year, the Netunos swept the Formation Skydiving events at the national outdoor championship last month, and the 8-way team could potentially become a medal contender in 8-way at the outdoor world championship next year if the progression continues. The Netunos 4-way team are members of the 8-way lineup, and the focus of the Navy team seems to be on 8-way training and competition at the moment. The 4-way team won the national outdoor championship title, while they have not arrived at Brazil's 4-way indoor top level yet.

Netunos at Brazil's Outdoor Nationals and the August Indoor Meet
Prime lineup in April
The Netunos 4-way team participated at both meets of the tunnel league this year. The NSL News reported on June 9th that the Prime team (Fabiano José da Silva Florio, Mileide Cristiane Leite Ferreira, George Narita, Pedro Ushizima) outscored the Netunos at the April meet, who finished in 2nd place.

The 4-way lineup of the Netunos finished with a slightly higher meet average at the second meet last weekend and still had to allow XBR (Jorge Neto, Ben Langfeld, Ricardo Pereira, Michel Ramos) to take the 2nd place by one point. Jorge Neto and Ricardo Pereira both are actually 8-way team mates for the Netunos. XBR had finished in 5th place at the first meet in April with a different lineup. The Prime team won again with exactly the same meet average as in April despite their own change in the lineup (Enrico Ce for Mileide Cristiane Leite Ferreira).

So Pressao (SP Brazil) was actually the most improved team of the Top 3 in April (20.3 - 21.2) and still could not defend the 3rd place successfully when XBR picked up the pace last weekend. There was a Super Sequence in Round 9 (C,B,O,H,L) that the Netunos used well with the round's highscore and to defend the 3rd place successfully over So Pressao.
